Create a series of 20 engaging, humorous/clever, and informative videos that break down the benefits of the Hilton Honors program for new users with clear, friendly messaging and a super fun conversational vibe.

Hilton Honors is an amazing rewards program: membership is free, perks start right away, and you're guaranteed the lowest price on rooms across Hilton's 18 hotel brands. And that's just the tip of the Honors iceberg. You can earn free stays, redeem your points for flights, or earn exclusive experiences ranging from private spa treatments to golfing with your favorite pro or a two-night stay and VIP treatment at the Ryder Cup in Italy.

And therein lies the rub: the benefits of Hilton Honors run so deep that it can be hard to know where to begin. Right now, people generally turn to Google or YouTube for questions about the Hilton Honors program, but they should be turning to Hilton to learn more and sign up.

The goal of this project, therefore, is to create a 20-video series for TikTok, Instagram, and Hilton's websites that break down the benefits, rewards, and lesser-known facts about the Hilton Honors program so new members will come to Hilton's platforms first and foremost for their questions and research. Your videos should be approachable and informative but with a clever, humorous tone. The target audience is younger travelers (Gen Z, Millennial) who want clear, simple information as much as they want good benefits; no one should feel like they need a PhD in points to understand how Hilton Honors works, and that's the vibe we want to project through this series. Ideally these videos will take on a life of their own and foster conversation and wider organic spread through TikTok's reply feature.

To make your videos really resonate with the target audience, Hilton is interested in a humorous, conversational approach, with a friendly expert – your Honors bestie – breaking down individual topics or questions, either directly to camera or in a dialogue with a friend who's new to Hilton Honors; check out the lululemon examples in the Background section, along with a link to the Hilton Honors Member Benefits breakdown, and Hilton's other reference videos, to see what we mean. Whether audiences have intentionally sought out your videos to learn more about Hilton Honors or stumbled across them organically, the goal is to leave them feeling knowledgable, excited, and like they've found a trusted guide who can answer all their questions and help them earn and use Hilton Honors points with confidence.

In addition to your talent and narrative approach, Hilton is interested in hearing your set design approach in your pitch. Your location and/or set decoration will play a big part in making this feel like a series and establishing the conversational, trusted expert best friend tone Hilton is looking for, and should be presented in detail in your treatment.

  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed out in the Deliverables.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A more detailed and specific description of how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables, both in terms of what we can expect to see, and how you’ll make it. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here. Please include your HMU stylist in your pitch.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • BID/BUDGET (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, and the Sponsor would like each producer to create all of the content listed in the Deliverables section within a budget total of up to $145,000. Please ensure that your budget factors in appropriate COVID safety protocols (i.e. testing, PPE, cleaning supplies, backup talent, etc.). You can download the budget template here.

  • SCRIPT (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • STORYBOARDS (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across. You can download the Tongal storyboard template here.

  • HEADSHOTS/CASTING BOARDS (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

  • APPRENTICESHIP ADVISOR (Optional): The Tongal On-Set Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity to support new & emerging talent in production positions with hands-on on-set experience. Please indicate on the pitch submission form if you would be interested in overseeing an apprentice on your production; your answer will neither increase nor decrease the likelihood of your pitch being greenlit. Tongal will cover the apprentice's day rate outside of your project budget, and if you are matched with an apprentice, your Tongal producer will reach out with more information. To learn more about the On-Set Apprenticeship Program and the responsibilities of an advisor, please click HERE.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.
