Before the cameras start rolling, before you hire crew or start location scouting, you need to get your production budget in order. Your production budget is the basic roadmap for how money will be allocated from start to finish during the production process. Whether Pitching on a Tongal Project or trying to get a sense of how much money you’ll need to raise for your indie film, it’s a good idea to create a budget to work against.
If you don’t know where to begin, you’re in luck! We’ve created a Production Budget Template that’s easy to use and easy to customize to your own needs. And with the formulas already baked in, you don’t even need to be particularly good at math.
We’ve created the template in two formats: Excel (clicking will initiate a download) and Google Sheets. Open and download on your own computer for the ability to edit the budget to suit your production.
