Help Nature Made make a suite of docu-style lifestyle content by casting and shooting a relatable, engaging personality who can authentically demonstrate how they use supplements in their daily life.

Nature Made is the source for reliable vitamin supplements, and now, they want their digital marketing channels, from their website to email and social media to reflect the people who use those supplements every day. But you don't have to be a professional athlete to pay attention to your nutrition, so Nature Made is looking to create videos featuring authentic personalities that embody the stories of people who use vitamin supplements to support their health and wellness goals in their everyday lives.

The goal of this project then is to create a suite of authentic lifestyle content that revolves around a relatable and engaging personality. We're looking for charismatic individuals whose personality comes through on camera, and who can share with us how Nature Made supplements are helping them achieve their goals and find balance. Nature Made has multiple categories in which they help their customers, so they've provided four "topics" in the Background, and we'd like to have the individual you cast talk about at least one of these in their video. As we meet customers in their normal lives, we want this content to feel sincere and natural so that viewers can see that Nature Made is part of a typical balanced life.

This project is as much about casting as it is about producing good video content, because it's the authentic on-screen personalities that'll carry much of the weight. We're NOT looking for people with a social following, but it might even be helpful to think of this as "elevated" influencer content. Polished, professional, but intimate and personal in a way that feels like it's the work of an individual. Think tighter shots, less elaborate lighting setups, probably more exteriors, and a lifestyle narrative that feels more natural. The individual can speak to camera at times, but we don't want a talking head. Either way, we should get to know our personality, and see how supplements are integrated into their routine.

The sponsor is hoping to greenlight four teams of filmmakers & personalities - BUT - they are also open to greenlighting a single filmmaker who can source more than one personality. If you are submitting to produce more than one suite, please submit separate pitches for each personality you'd film with.

Checkout the Background for some more info, and feel free to ask questions in the forum.

TIMELINE: Full Project Timeline

EXPOSURE:

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Women & men, aged 35+ currently using or considering vitamins, minerals, and supplements as part of their health and wellness regimen.
  • Secondary target audience: 35+ active, health-conscious Dads

TONE:

  • Optimistic
  • Authentic, Real, Relatable
  • Credible, Knowledgeable, Certain
  • Video should feel native to digital/social media. We are going for in the moment documentary aesthetics. While we do want to appear appealing,  we don't want to overly polish the imagery and make it feel sterile or overtly branded

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • This content should be Evergreen. While COVID-19 is an obvious consideration with this product, we do not want to overtly allude to that aspect.
  • Content must feature Nature Made products. Nature Made will supply products for filming.
  • You will be required to submit with talent, and if you are submitting to produce more than one suite, please submit a separate pitch with each personality.

Shooting live action or stop motion? Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We're working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and you should ensure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline and budget, while also ensuring everyone's safety.

SUPPLEMENT PILLARS: One or more of each of the below pillars, or topics, should ultimately tie into the lifestyle narrative of the person you're looking to profile, and they should speak to its importance authentically, but it's important to restate that your video should not be focused on the specific relevant products listed

  • SLEEP - We all need sleep, but with today’s “always-on” schedules, it can be hard to come by. When we feel exhausted, irritable, or are unable to concentrate, we could benefit from a few more hours of zzzs. Stress can play a huge role in this - you know when your heads hits the pillow, and your eyes are shut, but your mind is racing. With the varying sleep issues that consumers have, there are now a range of Nature Made solutions to meet their needs.

  • IMMUNE HEALTH - The immune system is a wonderfully complex system of blood cells and organs, and a well-functioning immune system is key to our overall health and well-being. From seasonal changes and diet, to stress and even sleep, making sure you provide your body with nutrients that support your immune system should top your good-health priority list, along with a healthy lifestyle.

  • WOMEN'S HEALTH - No two women are the same, but each and every one can benefit from a little TLC with antioxidants, bone support, and immune system support. Your health can be affected by anything from a busy schedule that keeps you from focusing on you, to a lack of vitamins and minerals in your normal diet. While your body has unique requirements, challenges, and strengths, our supplements protect you from the inside out. Count on Nature Made to deliver essential nutritional support to meet your individual needs.

  • GENERAL WELLNESS - Every body, literally, is different—with unique requirements, challenges, and strengths. Nature Made supplements protect you from head to toe, providing essential daily nutritional support suited to your individual needs. Filling nutritional gaps with some of the key players like vitamins A, C, D and E can help jump-start your personal health goals.

PREVIOUS VIDEOS FOR INSPIRATION OR TONE:

The following are videos that were #MadeOnTongal for Nature Made and provide a sense of the content we're looking to create here, although these videos have more product, and more of an emphasis on product than what we'd like to do in this current project:

ABOUT NATURE MADE:

The people behind Nature Made are driven to make the very best vitamins they can. Which is why they take pride in the fact that the toughest critics endorse their vitamins. In fact, Nature Made vitamins are the #1 Pharmacist recommended brand of supplements in eight categories including letter vitamins, fish oil, and CoQ10 according to the 2013 Pharmacy Times survey. It was the first vitamin brand to earn United States Pharmacopeia (USP) verification, and each Nature Made product stamped with the USP mark tells you they have been independently verified for quality, purity, strength, disintegration and consistency. From sourcing ingredients to production, Nature Made is committed to making vitamins and supplements that you can choose with confidence.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to shooting, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

  • SHOOTING OUTLINE: This project requires shooting outline approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your outline and ask you to submit a new version. There may be several rounds of feedback until an outline is approved by the Sponsor.

For your convenience, we’ve provided some helpful templates to use at your discretion. They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Tongal supports inclusivity in all of our productions and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.
