Using photos provided by [solidcore] in combination with graphic design and motion graphics, create a suite of social content for [solidcore] to celebrate some of the cultural moments and holidays at the beginning of the new year.

If you don't already know, [solidcore] workouts are 50 minutes of full-body strength training on a pilates-inspired reformer, and they're truly an immersive experience: held in a dimly-lit room, under blue lights, fueled by energizing music, and driven by an experienced coach who provides everyone with personalized instruction. It's incredibly exciting, and [solidcore] wants to infuse that kind of excitement into a collection of Instagram Stories for their channel that can celebrate some of the key cultural moments and holidays happening in the new year.

The goal of this content is to produce Instagram Stories that create awareness for [solidcore] by supporting different cultural moments and holidays, while utilizing smart [solidcore] branding and uniquely relevant visual elements related to each occasion. It'll be important that your videos incorporate lots of dynamic movement, especially in the motion text and in the visual elements you include, so you'll want to find ways to interesting and energetic ways to bring that into the video, even having on-screen elements move and dance about on screen.

Follow the link in assets to a collection of [solidcore] photos & videos you can use in your content, but feel free to expand on these with your own digital creations. If you create anything of your own though, it's important that you keep them in the style of [solidcore]'s premium aesthetic, and important that they don't become too cutesy. [solidcore] is all about the time under the blue lights, so finding ways to incorporate the studio shots or [sweatlana] - their pilates-inspired reformer workout machine - would be ideal. [solidcore] does have some general guidelines for each moment, so be sure to look in in the Background for the list of cultural moments and holidays, along with some key details.

For MLK Day, International Transgender Day of Visibility, and Galentine's day, rather than complete videos, we're requesting graphic template. We're thinking that'll mean Photoshop PSD assets, but we'd also be open to Canva templates here too. These should consist of individual slides conveying the pertinent information so that the [solidcore] team can quickly and easily add in the copy text and holiday specific team photos closer to the posting date. The execution is all about communicating the information in a fun, polished, and premium way. That said, please speak to how you'll templatize these in an easily accessible way for the [solidcore] team. Valentine's Day will also be somewhat templatized, but will not be delivered as a graphic template as the [solidcore] team will be adding the text in-platform when they post on Instagram. Accordingly, there should be blank space left for them to insert this text.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

DELIVERABLES: There are 2 video assets and 9 static image assets:

  • Two 9x16 up to :15 videos
  • Five 9x16 Static Image PSD templates
  • Four 9x16 Static Images

EXPECTED TIMELINE: HERE

RELEVANT ASSETS: HERE

EXPOSURE: We expect content will be used on the platforms below, but if casting talent, be sure they review our required Talent Release before they're cast, as it is NOT limited to these platforms. You should also review our Music providers in the Project Requirements, as well as the platform best practices.

  • Instagram

TONE/FEEL:

  • Empowering, supportive
  • Premium, elevated, clean. NOT kid-like or cutesy

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • All copy MUST be lower case, including proper nouns like "Thanksgiving."
  • There are only select words that we bracket, and when we use these words, we always bracket them. See the brand book for more.
  • Use [solidcore] blue color to provide emphasis.
  • Videos and images must include [solidcore] logo on bottom, bracketed.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects do move forward, we'll notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and project team.

CULTURAL MOMENTS:

  • New Year's Day - This should feature motivating music with a general encouragement for people to focus on themselves this year. Think of some version of this message: "new year, new chance to set you goals and go after them." There's an opportunity to incorporate fireworks into this video. Beyond that, though, you're encouraged to have fun with this one and bring your own unique ideas that fit within this messaging focus.
  • MLK Day - As mentioned in the brief, this will be a graphic template, it should have "happy martin luther king jr., day" at the top with a centered text box where they will eventually put a quote from the CEO. This should feel simple, clean and premium while incorporating subtle elements of the celebration. That said, the focus should be on the words and byline of the CEO.
  • Galentine's Day - This should be a set of three distinct graphic templates that celebrate galentine's day, which, if you didn't know, is basically the friendship version of Valentine’s day—a whole day dedicated to celebrating the platonic love between the women and non-binary people in your life the day before Valentine's Day. They're open to creative takes on this, but should be some version of celebrating your female friends with [solidcore]. Some examples of text you could include on screen might be "girls just wanna have fun, and they wanna be together under the blue lights," or "happy galentine's day to the best blue light buddies a girl can ask for." Each graphic template should have placeholders for one or more photos of clients that [solidcore] will add in closer to the holiday itself.
  • Valentine's Day - These should be digital valentine's day cards with a [solidcore] twist. Each should have "to: ____" and "from: ____" along with space on screen for people to overlay their own text. These can be fun but should remain elevated and premium to stay on-brand for [solidcore]. It's important that they don't feel too cutesy.
  • International Transgender Day of Visibility - This will be a graphical template the [solidcore] team will use to highlight outstanding transgender individuals in the [solidcore] community. It should include space for the individual's name, quote, and possibly an image. There's an opportunity here to incorporate the transgender flag's colors. We're open to creativity so long as it's tasteful, on brand, and celebratory.
  • St. Patrick's Day - There's a lot of opportunity to have fun with this one, and [solidcore] would love to see your creativity on it. How could you incorporate St. Patrick's Day theming with [solidcore]? Maybe it's 4 leaf clover on [sweatlana] or a leprechaun under the blue lights in the [solidcore] studio. You're encouraged to get creative with this video so long as it's on-brand and premium. It's especially important to avoid anything too cutesy or kid-like here.
  • First Day of Spring -Who doesn't like a good pun? The [solidcore] team would like to take this opportunity to play with one of the key elements of [sweatlana]: the resistance springs. In a workout you change these to change the difficulty level of the exercises. For this image, [solidcore] wants to lead with the text "that spring change is no joke" at the top of the image and smaller text on the bottom with the logo that says "happy first day of spring." While [solidcore] can provide the zoomed in version of the spring, you're also encouraged to get familiar with [sweatlana] via this handy infographic and recreate the spring in an authentic manner that's bespoke to this particular image.

In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed in the Deliverables.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A more detailed and specific description of how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables. Explain what we can expect to see, and how you'll make it. If it's helpful, we've provided a treatment template HERE.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, editor, artist, etc.) but do not include links to your showreel. Please link to individual videos.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show what you're capable of. Consider a video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect, or consider test videos, proof-of-concept edits, animatics, etc. For examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.

If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.

  • TREATMENT Describe in detail how you plan to execute the content, and how you plan to bring it to life visually. Feel free to use concept art, references, style frames, or mock-ups. If relevant, share additional information about your team, and your process.
  • STORYBOARD: Include individual images for each key beat in your video. It is best practice to include scripted dialogue or VO, along with on-screen text or disclaimers, under each panel in our Storyboards. If there are multiple unique videos, ensure you submit a Storyboard for each video.

For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Looking for help? Post crew and production opportunities connected to Tongal projects on Backlot. Backlot includes search tools to help you find collaborators and crew by role, skill set, location, and more, for productions of any size and type. Tongal also supports inclusivity in all productions, and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find additional options for staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS & RESOURCES: Once Content has been submitted and the initial Production Phase completed, greenlit creators will enter into Revisions. Creators will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor's feedback. Check out our Filmmaker Resource Portal to access helpful post-production resources like Text-Safe Guides for different platforms, Project File Organization Tutorial, Export Presets, and Captioning services.

MUSIC: If you use music from a library for your content, you MUST use one of Tongal's three music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project, and will not require a Music Release Form. To learn more, click on any of the providers' names above.

If you choose to use original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. Please ensure your composer reviews and signs this form BEFORE beginning their work.

STOCK FOOTAGE: Tongal has partnered with the stock footage library STORYBLOCKS, which can be used to source video clips, photography, and After Effects templates for your video submission to this project. Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may not use any audio.

If you intend to use Storyblocks, inform your Tongal producer, and an account will be created for you to access the library. Once assets are approved for delivery, you must provide a complete list of all Storyblocks content that you used via our template HERE.
