We're looking to create a docu-style video profile of ultramarathoner Charlie Engle featuring products from Orgain.

The goal of the video is to profile ultramarathoner, author, and keynote speaker Charlie Engle featuring products from Orgain. The focus should be to really showcase what Charlie has overcome in life and what he’s accomplished while incorporating Orgain into his life/lifestyle.

Based in Durham, NC, Charlie Engle describes himself as someone who tries not to take himself too seriously, despite the fact that he undoubtedly takes on serious challenges. Charlie runs with meaning and a purpose. In 2016, he led a 6-person running team across the United States (Icebreaker Run) where, as a team, the runners ran 24 hours a day for 24 straight days to raise awareness for mental health and addiction services. In 2019, he ran for 27 hours straight to celebrate 27 years of sobriety. This year he's training for the Badwater Ultramarathon the self-described "world's toughest foot race," a 135-mile course starting at 279 feet below sea level in the Badwater Basin, in California's Death Valley, and ending at an elevation of 8360 feet at Whitney Portal, the trailhead to Mount Whitney.

If you're as intrigued by Charlie as much as we are, and want to see how he lives his life, then please see below for additional details.

THE PROCESS:

  • You'll have one day to film with Charlie around his home in Durham, North Carolina but will have the opportunity to connect with him virtually beforehand (see the timeline in assets).
  • Please note that talent will be provided and do not need to be considered in your budget; however, you will need to account for your crew travel & accommodations in your budget as well as locations.
  • You will need to provide your COVID protocols as part of your pitch submission requirements.

  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so if you're shooting any live-action, please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We’re working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and our advice here is to make sure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline, while also ensuring everyone's safety.
