Help create a dynamic :60 sizzle video to show off the functionality of the Tongal platform.

If you're familiar with Tongal, you probably know we're an online platform for content creation that connects networks, studios, and brands to great ideas and talent all around the world. From the pitch process, to pre-production, to revisions & delivery – the Tongal platform streamlines the creative process, bringing it entirely online and making great content accessible for all.

Now Tongal is looking to create a :60 sizzle video to walk brands through our process, giving them a high-level overview of what our platform can do. The sizzle should evoke the clean & modern aesthetic of the Tongal brand, and give viewers a simple and easy-to-understand look at the following steps involved in content creation on the site:

  • Scrolling through the Tongal homepage
  • Selecting an active Tongal project
  • Reading through a Tongal project page
  • Submitting a pitch on a Tongal project page
  • Selecting a pitch for the greenlight on Tongal
  • Completing the pre-production process using the notes system on the Tongal platform
  • Going through the revisions process on completed cuts using the notes system on the Tongal platform
  • Comparing edits side by side on the Tongal platform
  • Approving a cut on the Tongal platform
  • Going through the legal clearance process on Tongal (including talent, location & music clearances)
  • Downloading a finished video from the Tongal site & sharing it with the world!

For the purposes of the Pitch Phase, we are including a folder of still assets from the site that you can use to put together a short :15 proof-of-concept video to demonstrate your creative approach. You can find those assets in the Assets section below. Should you be greenlit to produce the sizzle video, you will be provided with additional copy & Tongal brand assets to help you replicate the user experience on the site.

DELIVERABLES: One :60 Sizzle Video (16:9)

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE: Tongal website & materials, including client-facing materials

TARGET AUDIENCE: Networks, studios, and brands who are new to Tongal, and are looking to learn more about our platform

TONE: Upbeat, engaging, informative, and easy to understand

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Proof-of-concept video will need to feature at least 2 of the Tongal platform functions listed above
  • Sizzle will need to replicate an abridged version of the actual Tongal platform user experience for brands
  • Sizzle will need to feature Tongal brand assets & follow a Tongal-drafted script (which will be provided to the greenlit filmmaker)
  • Sizzle should not feature any dialogue; the message will need to be communicated with visuals & text on screen only
  • Sizzle must end with Tongal's tagline: Creativity Set Free

OPEN BID:

  • This is an open bid project, so you will get to set your own budget up to $2,500. You only need to include a bid in your pitch - not a full budget proposal.
  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

Check out these videos for examples of the clean aesthetic - but dynamic feel - we'll be looking for in this video:

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • BID (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall budget of up to $2,500. As a reminder, you only need to include a bid in your pitch - not a full budget proposal.

  • PROOF OF CONCEPT VIDEO (REQUIRED): Submit a :15 proof of concept video that demonstrates your creative approach, and aesthetic you will be going for in this sizzle video. Your proof of concept will need to feature at least 2 of the Tongal platform functions outlined in the Objectives section above, using these assets. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
