To catch fans up on seasons one and two of Peacock's hit murder-mystery reality TV series The Traitors, create a suite of recap videos, optimized for their respective platforms, that gets fans excited for the show's upcoming third season in early 2025.
In a world where treachery and deceit are the name of the game, may the best scheme win! Such is the ethos of Peacock's Emmy-winning psychological adventure series The Traitors, which has gained so much popularity over the past year that it is has been renewed for multiple seasons. To get fans excited for the season three premiere in early 2025, Peacock wants YOU to create a suite of clever and entertaining social content to catch people up on what's transpired in the deliciously deceptive first two seasons of the show.
For this project, Peacock is looking for one talented creator to make three bespoke social videos that are each designed for their respective social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok). We're not just looking for your standard recap video here. Peacock wants you to break the mold of the traditional recap video and come up with a creative format that feels fresh and unique on social media feeds. We highly encourage you to lean into the campy nature of the show. Look no further than the show's fabulous host Alan Cumming (whose fashion ALONE could be worthy of a video), and the way he deviously drives the wedge of deception between contestants to fuel the fire.
Though you will have full access to the show's footage, we want to be clear: this is not just an editing project. Peacock is looking for something more unique than a string of key moments and some text - they want something that's much better suited for fan-driven social media. That might mean some form of live-action component could be useful, but Peacock is also open to motion graphics and animation approaches as well. They want short, fun, fresh, inventive, and humorous takes that bring personality or a strong point-of-view. There are MANY creative directions that you could take this, so think about all the different episode recap formats you might organically find on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. Consider stuff like tiny mic recaps, on-camera scene reactions, green screen effects - maybe we feature a whole video of murder reactions? These videos aren’t as much about telling fans what happened, but what YOU found to be crazy/exciting/shocking/hilarious.
Importantly, you should think about each platform's recap content as its own thing. That means we're not just reframing a 16x9 video for TikTok; rather, the concepts driving each deliverable here should be tailored to the social media platform where it will eventually live. To give you an example, the longer YouTube video could be a quirky compilation of the most shocking betrayals from seasons one and two, BUT the Facebook/Instagram/X video could be entirely dedicated to Alan's outrageous outfits and his Shakespeare-level one-liners, AND the TikTok video could be a spoof travel blog to a luxurious castle in the Scottish Highlands that's just to die for. They really don't have to resemble each other much at all, outside of the fact that they'll each help catch people up on what's been happening. Also, since they're all designed for social media, they should all be short, punchy, and hook the viewer in the first few seconds of the video.
In your Pitch treatment, be sure to tell us your proposed recap style for each of the deliverables (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram/X, and TikTok). As a reminder, each video is UNIQUE and should be able to stand on its own while being cohesive with the rest of the assets. If helpful, we also encourage you to submit an optional proof-of-concept video that visually demonstrates your creative style. Peacock is looking for distinct creative takes for each video, so feel free to submit multiple ideas for how you might tackle the content.
The sky it the limit here, and since that means there's a huge range of possible approaches, and the fact that each platform's content could be unique, you'll notice that this is an Open Bid project. To that end, Peacock wants your pitch bid to reflect the nature of your approach, and how much net-new production may be required.

Hidden amongst the faithful are the traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the traitors murder the faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the faithful try to uncover the traitors and banish them from the game. If the faithful contestants banish all the traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a traitor or traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
