Create a YouTube vlog-style explainer video to drive downloads and explain how the T-Life app is beneficial for your lifestyle, and not just paying your bill.
The T-Life app from T-Mobile is designed to help T-Mobile customers manage their accounts, access exclusive benefits, and shop for products and services—all in one place. It offers a range of features to enhance convenience and make it easier for users to interact with T-Mobile services. Some of its key functionalities include account management, exclusive benefits, phone upgrades, shopping, connected devices, and 24/7 Access. In short, T-Life is designed to make managing your T-Mobile account and enjoying your benefits as easy and convenient as possible.
Now T-Mobile is looking for a filmmaker to create an up-to-5-minute YouTube vlog-style explainer video to thoroughly explain how the T-Life app functions and how it can be used not only to assist T-Mobile customers but also serve as the place to earn perks and benefits to support their lifestyles. While the main video will live on YouTube and should ultimately drive viewers to download the app, you'll also create three cutdowns formatted for YouTube Shorts but also used on TikTok and Instagram Reels. These cutdowns can work off the same footage as the full length video, but should have quick cuts and transitions fitting for social. The key message we want to communicate through these videos is: "T-Life. Experience the best of T-Mobile. At your fingertips." OR in short, " T-Life. One app. All the things." To see the full scope of all the benefits and key messaging we are looking to highlight, please take a look at the Background,
This vlog-style video should make sure to cover T-Mobile's app benefits and features while also feeling organic; we are not looking for a sales pitch or anything that feels too commercial. Your execution should be live-action, and we would expect you'll have a host or hosts who will talk directly to the camera in a YouTube vlog style, but we want to see how you would approach this project with your own unique and interesting ideas. Your target audience will be Gen-Z consumers searching YouTube for answers to their T-Mobile and T-Life app questions, and your video should be SEO-friendly so that it ranks high in search results. Consider incorporating motion graphics, typography, music, sound effects, stock footage, and/or even light animation overlays to make your video dynamic and memorable. Recent T-Mobile YouTube videos like the Samsung S25 YouTube, RCS Explainer Video, Bucket List Shot with @Nateinthewild, 5G explainer series, and The Hardest Part of the Las Vegas Race are all good examples of the style we are looking to emulate for these videos: a very natural host who feels like a friend; strong visuals to explain the T-Mobile perks; and in general, content that doesn't feel overtly branded.
In terms of casting, we're looking for diverse Gen-Z talent who can feel authentic while delivering on a script and are comfortable speaking directly to the camera. who can memorize a script and are comfortable talking straight to the camera. We are open to exterior or interior locations, or even a mix of both as long as it feels natural to the host and is thematically aligned to your creative approach. Hints of magenta (specific hex code below) should be incorporated throughout your content, whether as subtle accents to wardrobe or set and/or in your graphics, but your visuals should not lean too branded. The messaging assets shared below will give you a good sense of the graphics and visual approach T-Mobile has created for this broader campaign, and we'd like to see you incorporate those to ensure that these videos feel cohesive.
