Produce an emotive, purpose-driven video for Poise that establishes their brand purpose and shows consumers that we’re more than just a bladder leak solution.

Did you know that 1 in 2 women over the age of 20 experience bladder leaks? How about the two biggest triggers that lead to bladder leakage being pregnancy and menopause? Women’s health is often overlooked and can be a very vulnerable and intimidating topic to seek information and resources on. Much of women’s health can be unfairly stigmatized and politicized, and when you look at statistics like the above, it's pretty likely that you either know someone affected, or... well, you're the one who's affected. Maybe that's why 7 out of 10 women end up turning to period pads to manage their leakage, resulting in them feeling wet and uncomfortable. This is because period pads are designed for...well periods, and not for pee. Poise understands that bladder leakage is common and, because of that understanding, Poise pads are designed specifically for bladder leaks. They help women feel clean, dry, and fresh while giving them the confidence and piece of mind to continue living their lives the way they choose. Poise is looking to partner with a filmmaker to make an empowering piece to spotlight Poise's brand purpose - a brand that understands and champions women’s health -  as well as build brand affinity within consumers.

The goal of this project is to create a :15 video that establishes Poise as more than just a bladder leak pad. The intent of the video is to leave viewers - both those impacted by bladder leakage and women in general - feeling seen and understood. The video should show that Poise relates to women and their struggles first and foremost. To do this the video should show women that Poise recognizes the challenges they must overcome to be their true self every day, especially when dealing with leaks. Outside of that, the second key objective to this video is to  celebrate the work that Poise does by advocating for women’s health to unburden women, speaking to both the emotional and the physical challenges life presents. Ultimately, all of this should come together and make women feel seen.

We're looking for impactful, empowering, and emotive content. Poise wants to see executions that are unique that will resonate with women. Importantly, they do want to see their branding upfront and center in the video to help orient viewers that this is, indeed, a Poise video. Poise wants to raise awareness about women's health issues but do so in a way that inspires, not educates. In the Background section you will find their brand guidelines, brand voice & tone reference, as well as some further information on the Poise brand itself.

Live action is what Poise is thinking, but they're open to other executions, like a slick motion graphics execution or even animated treatments. Regardless of your approach the end product needs to feel authentic, human, and relatable. So no personified pads moving on-screen or cartoony designs delivering these messages. We want to spotlight that Poise liberates women from the barriers that hold them back from being their true selves. Beyond that, it's really how you're delivering your message, and the visuals you're pairing with that message, that will be key. Regardless of chosen execution, the brand will require the use of light motion graphics and on-screen text. While you certainly can have the message of the video delivered through VO, it's not mandatory.

Check out more information in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

The Tongal On-Set Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity to support new & emerging talent in production positions with hands-on on-set experience. Please indicate on the pitch submission form if you would be interested in overseeing an apprentice on your production; your answer will neither increase nor decrease the likelihood of your pitch being greenlit. Tongal will cover the apprentice's day rate outside of your project budget, and if you are matched with an apprentice, your Tongal producer will reach out with more information. To learn more about the On-Set Apprenticeship Program and the responsibilities of an advisor, please click HERE.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.
