Produce a fun and inspiring suite of videos on finding travel inspiration with Pinterest for out of home (OOH) screens in France.

The goal of this project is to create a suite of two 10 second live-action stop-motion tutorial vertical videos for OOH billboard screens in France. Your videos should encourage audiences to go on Pinterest to find even more inspiration when planning their next getaway.

Videos should highlight:

  • Inspirational content from amazing travel destinations
  • Ways to plan your next trip on Pinterest (i.e. creating boards for local restaurants, attractions, etc.)
  • Ideas to make any trip run smoothly (i.e. best ways to pack a suitcase, carry-on essentials, etc.)

It is very important that your content resonate locally with the French audience. To help you with this, we've included some thought-starters below. These are just jumping off points, so feel free to do your own research and come up with other ideas.

THOUGHT STARTERS:

  • Focus on European travel
  • Weekend getaway guides
  • Road Trip Itineraries
  • How to pack for a road trip or a weekend getaway
  • City guides
  • 3 Days in ___ (your choice of European destination)

Your videos must be visible from long distances and your framing should be tight on all people and objects. Head-on or top-down framing is preferred.

You may host a longer version of each video on your own Pinterest account that is driven from the 10 second version.

DELIVERABLES:

One selected filmmaker will create:

  • Two vertical (1080x1920) 10 second tutorial videos on any of the above verticals.
  • There may be an option to produce a third video as well.

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets tab. Please note, should your pitch be selected, you will work with the Sponsor and the Tongal team to develop a rolling delivery schedule, with the first videos to be delivered in mid October.

EXPOSURE:

  • Large out of home screens in France
  • Pinterest

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • French women and men ages 18–49 who haven’t joined Pinterest yet, and aren't sure what it is
  • French women and men ages 18–49 have joined Pinterest, but aren’t active users

TONE:

  • Inspiring
  • Educational
  • Fun

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • This is an Open Bid project, so you will get to set your own budget proposal within the $3-5K range per video. Your budget proposal should include your full budget for the suite of 2 videos, with a breakdown of the estimated cost per video. There may also be an option to add an additional third 10 second video as well. Your budget proposal should include pricing for both a 2 video and 3 video scenario. The Sponsor is interested in seeing tiered pricing options, so please feel free to submit various versions of your pitch at budget, target, and reach price points within that price range.
  • Videos must be live-action stop-motion.
  • Videos for OOH do not need sound or music; videos for Pinterest should have audio and music.
  • Videos should not rely spoken language or written text. Any text shown will need to be in French.
  • Videos in your suite should have a cohesive look and feel, but should be contained and stand on their own - they do not need to be part of a sequence.
  • Your videos cannot exceed 10 seconds each, although you may host a longer version on your Pinterest page. Should you choose to make a longer version, that version can include sound or music. See here for an example of a short form version (in vertical format) and here for a long form version.
  • The greenlit filmmaker(s) will need to have a Business Pinterest account (these are different from personal accounts). You can sign up for one here.
  • All videos must include 1 second of Pinterest branding in the opening.  This will need to live within the 10 second total runtime.
  • Videos should be easily understandable and visible from a long distance.
  • Videos should be shot straight-on or top-down; no wide shots that would distract from the story of the video.
  • Videos should not feature any brands in a noticeable fashion.
  • If focusing on any sort of tutorial, the audience should be able to reproduce the tutorial at home.
  • Your videos should ‘feel’ like Pinterest; branding guidelines will be provided to the greenlit filmmakers.
  • Your videos MUST be shot in vertical format, and delivered in 1080x1920 dimensions.
  • You may partner with an established Pinner, to create content in the aesthetic of their page, if you already know one. The most important thing is that your content resonates locally with French audiences.
  • You may NOT use images found on Pinterest.

By participating in this Open Bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a Bid. Though most Open Bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit Bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any Bids via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all Open Bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the Project Team.

In order to be considered for this project you must include the below materials in your Pitch submission. For examples of effective Pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute these Videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in each of the two or three videos. Your treatment MUST include 3-4 steps that would be shown in each video, as well as a reference of what the conclusion of the video would be. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a Treatment template, which you can find here.

  • BUDGET (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall budget proposal. You can download the Budget template here. The Sponsor would like each producer to create (2) videos with a cost range of $3-5K range per video. Your budget proposal should include your full budget for the suite of 2 videos, with a breakdown of the estimated cost per video. There may also be an option to add an additional third 10 second video as well. Your budget proposal should include pricing for both a 2 video and 3 video scenario.

  • LINK TO PINTEREST BUSINESS ACCOUNT (Optional): As part of the submission process, you can include a link to your Pinterest Business account. If you do not already have a Business Pinterest account (these are different from personal accounts), you can sign up for one here.

  • SCRIPT (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • HEADSHOTS/CASTING BOARDS (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatic, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling Pitch will be greenlit, and upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note the payment of the Pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.
