Create a :60 video profile of someone who has found real-life inspiration on Pinterest for one of five non-US markets.

Pinterest is looking to share the stories of five people who use Pinterest to inspire real-life action in beauty, fashion, or food. Whether that’s finding beautiful recipes like Krissy or marketing a small business like Jonas Paul Eyewear, Pinterest is the only social media platform that lets you discover new hobbies, learn new skills, and set goals large and small, personal or professional.

We’re looking for the stories of one “Pinner” in each of five markets who use Pinterest either personally or professionally to show how Pinterest is different from other social platforms and the value it provides to its users. The Pinners don’t have to be super users or influencers, but should use Pinterest regularly, whether personally or professionally, and be able to speak about how they use the platform.

Pinterest is looking to feature one Pinner per each of the following five markets and in the verticals of beauty, fashion, and food:

  • UK
  • France (FR)  (focus on beauty/fashion)
  • Germany (DE) (focus on beauty/fashion)
  • Australia (AU)
  • Canada (CA)

Pinterest is looking to greenlight 5 pitches (one per market). You may pitch against multiple markets. Please specify which market or markets you are interested in creating content for and share a comprehensive plan on how you'd approach multiple markets in your Pitch.

Videos will feature a single Pinner per market and will need to be in the native language of the respective market. You will also need to specify the Pinner you would like to profile in your pitch. We encourage you to propose multiple potential Pinners if possible. Pinterest will not assist filmmakers with securing the Pinners.

Your Pinner options should represent a diverse range of ages, ethnicities, and genders to resonate with as broad an audience as possible.

DELIVERABLES:

  • One :60 video 16:9 in native language with English .SRT files, with versioning:
    • One :60 video 1:1 in native language with English .SRT files

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • This is an Open Bid project, so you will get to set your own budget proposal within $6,000–10,000 range per market.
  • You must specify which market or markets you are interested in creating content for.
  • You must source at least two Pinners to profile for each market you Pitch on.
  • It is possible that Pinterest may want to move forward with one of the Pinners you source, but without greenlighting your Pitch. In this event, you will be paid a $500 finders fee for bringing that story to us.
  • You must show the Pinner using Pinterest on their mobile device, but you may not show the screen with Pinterest UI or any images found on Pinterest.
  • Your videos must utilize natural light and a documentary style and follow the Pinterest Video Guidebook.
  • Your videos must be in that market’s native language with English subtitles as .SRT files
  • While you cannot show actual Pinterest pages or use images sourced from Pinterest, stock image libraries will be made available for you to pull images from. You may need to source additional images from alternate stock libraries and should plan for that within your budgets, as well as the potential for some light motion graphics.

Though not required, we recommend you follow the below order for your pitch:

  • Title Page
  • Table of Contents
  • Filmmaker Introduction Statement
  • Potential Pinner Profiles
  • Overview of Creative Approach
  • Look & Feel – Please refer to the Pinterest Video Guidebook
  • Typography / Motion Graphics Examples (if applicable)
  • Sample Locations / Setups (if applicable)
  • Production Team
  • Production Plan / Logistics

By participating in this Open Bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a Bid. Though most Open Bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit Bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any Bids via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all Open Bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the Project Team.
