Create a docu-style video profile of Miami Heat NBA player Duncan Robinson featuring products from Orgain.

Playing for the Miami Heat, Duncan Robinson is no stranger to being under pressure. When your job is to score as many points as possible, you want to make sure your body is functioning at its best - and that starts from the inside with clean nutrition. After discovering Orgain Clean Protein Shakes at the recommendation of his trainer, Duncan hasn't looked back and has been using Orgain products consistently after last season and through his break before the new NBA season started again this year.

Now, working with Tongal, Orgain is looking to capture Duncan's story as a short docu-style video, and show how Orgain plays an important role in his daily routine. Whether he's at the gym training, working on his podcast, or volunteering at Feeding South Florida, Duncan is a man on the go. You'll have one day to film with Duncan around his home in Miami, Florida, but will have the opportunity to connect with him virtually beforehand. You will not need to account for his fees in your budget. As the filming window is dependent on if the Miami Heat make the playoffs and how well they do in the playoffs, there will be at least a 2 week lead time before the production window where you and your crew can quarantine.

If you're looking to play ball, then please see below for additional details. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

DELIVERABLES: There are 16 total assets.

  • One :60-:90 hero video (16x9, 1x1, 9x16, 4x5)
  • One :30 cutdown (16x9, 1x1, 9x16, 4x5)
  • One :15 cutdown (16x9, 1x1, 9x16, 4x5)
  • One additional deliverable up to :60 (16x9, 1x1, 9x16, 4x5) that could be a recipe video or training tips video

TIMELINE:

  • The filming window is dependent on whether or not the Miami Heat will make it to the NBA playoffs and how well they do in the playoffs. You will have at least a 2-week lead time before the production window so that you could lock in your crew and have them quarantine prior to the shoot.
  • For the project timeline up to the end of pre-production please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE: Orgain.com, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook. For social please see our platform best practices page.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Late 20s–mid 40s "Health Prioritizers," who are intentional about food. They eat minimally processed, organic when possible, plant-based, low sugar, no carb. It's an "Eat the rainbow" approach to food, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • People with Active lifestyles: parents, athletes, hard workers, curious; they prioritize their health and wellness no matter how busy they are.
    • They see healthy food and clean eating as a way to enrich their lives, rather than serve as a detractor.
    • They "shop the margins" of the supermarket (rather than the center aisles) and don't see eating clean as a handicap but as an enjoyable key factor in a rich, rewarding life.
    • They prioritize active, healthy lifestyles, and know that Orgain products support their goals with nutrition that is clean and convenient.

TONE: Authentic, credible, inspiring

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • You will need to account for your crew travel & accommodations in your budget as well as locations.
  • You will need to provide your COVID protocols as part of your pitch submission requirements.
  • You must provide negative test results for each crew member 24 hours prior to your shoot, regardless of their vaccination status. Strict COVID safety protocols will be of paramount consideration, including mandatory mask usage, and crew sizes should be kept to a minimum, with designated backups in the event of a positive test. Some quarantine measures are recommended in the days leading up to your shoot to reduce crew exposure. Please be as specific as possible when submitting a COVID safety plan with your pitch.
  • When filming with Duncan, please do not show Miami Heat branding and other IP.

OPEN BID:

  • This is an open bid project, so you will get to set your own budget proposal up to $20,000. COVID testing, strict safety protocols, and pre-shoot crew quarantine should be accounted for in your budget. The Sponsor is interested in seeing tiered pricing options, so feel free to submit various versions of your pitch at budget, target, and reach price points within that price range.
  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

Shooting live action or stop motion? Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, and we're now requiring a COVID safety protocol plan for all relevant productions. Please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We're working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and you should ensure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline and budget, while also ensuring everyone's safety.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute the suite of videos.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED):  How you plan to structure your videos. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • BID/BUDGET (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall budget proposal up to $20,000. You can download the budget template here.

  • COVID PROTOCOL (REQUIRED): Please let us know your team’s COVID safety protocols for production. If you’re doing everything yourself, or your team will be working 100% remotely, let us know that this won’t apply. Otherwise, at the very minimum, your safety plan must include information about:
    • What city and state you plan to film in
    • Whether you are filming interiors or exteriors
    • Approximately how many people you plan to have on set
    • How you’ll account for testing, PPE, and distancing on set
    • How you’ll handle talent and backup talent, including any hair, make-up, and wardrobe needs
    • Whether you’ll have a dedicated compliance officer on set

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives the creator the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to filming, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

  • BEAT SHEET & TREATMENT: This project requires beat sheet and treatment approval before filmmakers can move onto the Video Phase. The treatment should describe how you plan to execute the video, how you plan to bring the storytelling to life visually, and include a beat sheet and shot list outlining the particular beats and story moments that will define the narrative. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your treatment and ask you to submit a new version. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until a treatment is approved by the Sponsor.

  • COVID PROTOCOL: This project requires COVID safety protocol approval by both the Sponsor as well as Duncan Robinson.

  • WARDROBE: This project requires wardrobe approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. The Sponsor may provide feedback on the wardrobe and ask you to submit additional options. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until wardrobe is approved by the Sponsor.

  • LOCATION: This project may requires location approval. This means you will need to submit multiple images of your primary filming location. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your location and ask you to submit additional photos or to find a new location and submit images for that.

  • TEAM BREAKDOWN: This project requires team breakdown approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. This includes any key members of your crew (DP, director, photographer, editor etc).

For your convenience, we’ve provided some helpful templates to use at your discretion. They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the providers’ names above.

If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.
