Produce a fresh, engaging, and informative YouTube ad video for LaserAway to raise awareness about the scope of their state-of-the-art services.
As the nation's leader in laser hair removal, LaserAway has over fifteen years of experience delivering fabulous results using state-of-the-art technology, performed by the best professionals in the business. They've performed over three million treatments to date, and for anyone looking to permanently reduce the amount of hair on their body, they offer a safe, easy, and effective method, in a soothing environment. LaserAway is the absolute best in the business and now, they want YOU to produce an engaging and informative YouTube ad video to help spread the word.
The goal of this project is to produce a :30 YouTube ad video that promotes awareness for LaserAway by providing some general education about the laser hair removal treatment process, and also showcasing the state-of-the-art technology that LaserAway uses. Messaging and tone are going to be important here, and there's a unique duality to the messaging that you'll want to balance carefully. This is a company that takes care to check every box and meticulously treat each hair follicle of the desired area, so it is important to communicate and showcase the level of professionalism and attention to detail that embodies their service. At the same time, they want the experience itself to feel calm, casual, and more relaxed, and for that to really come through, you'll need to imbue the tone with an almost spa-like vibe, like what you see in many of their current YouTube videos.
While it's not a hard requirement to film at a LaserAway location (and if you have a different creative way in for this, they do want to hear it!), we expect that filming on location is a logical path to take for this video. LaserAway has locations all across the United States, and many - although not all - can be made available for filming. If you intend to shoot at a LaserAway, you should note that in your pitch, and what locations you'd want to film at. If your approach includes talent, you should not depend on being able to cast actual LaserAway employees, so you'll want to account for that in your budget. If you're selected to move forward, you can coordinate with LaserAway and Tongal to find the nearest location available for production.
In terms of messaging, you'll be creating your video specifically for YouTube as a paid ad, so you should first consider YouTube's ABCDs of creating effective video ads. Then, apart from the high-level messaging and tone, it'll be important to let people know that LaserAway's clinics are supervised by board-certified dermatologists, with treatments implemented by registered nurses, physician associates, and nurse practitioners that undergo the most extensive training in the business. There are also other key marketing details that need to be included, and you can find those in the Background.
For this project, once a filmmaker is selected, they will be put directly in contact with the sponsor. All communication and feedback between both parties will run through the Tongal platform.

In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.
If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.
For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.

Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may not use any audio.
