Carve, paint, illustrate, or otherwise decorate a series of pumpkins, each featuring select hit programming on TBS, TNT, and truTV, to celebrate the Fall-O-Ween season.

Fall-O-Ween is a month-long celebration on TBS, TNT, and truTV highlighting everything we love about this season: pumpkin spice, fall foliage, cozy sweaters, jump scares, creepy masks, spooky chills, and epic thrills. We're looking for a graphic designer or an artist to capture the spirit of everyone's favorite holiday while creating awareness and excitement around the fall programming on these networks with original pumpkin art that celebrates specific TBS, TNT, and truTV movies, shows, and talent. The programing lineup includes movies like The Witches (2020) and Joker (2019), and shows like Wipeout , Claws, Impractical Jokers, and Tacoma FD.

Your pumpkins can be carved, painted, etched, molded, or illustrated – and they can be delivered as photographs of real pumpkins, or still images of digital pumpkins - in fact, we'd love to see you really flex your creativity and use a few different styles in a suite designs. You'll need to use the references in this folder, and create six pumpkin art pieces that celebrate each of six properties, ensuring that your designs fit each respective network's Fall-O-Ween themes, which are listed in the Background section of this brief.

Your Pitch Treatment should include concept art or rough designs for how you intend to execute your pumpkins. In your Treatment, you should explain how you plan to bring each property to life and incorporate fall elements: think about what format(s) and medium(s) you'll work in, how you'll execute each artwork, and include any references that will help the Sponsor envision what you intend to create.

Check out more information in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Your pumpkin art pieces MUST be based on the properties listed below. Reference images for each property can be found here.
    • TBS: The Witches (2020); Wipeout
    • TNT: Joker; Claws
    • truTV: Impractical Jokers; Tacoma FD
  • While you must stick to the provided and pre-approved shows/movies and key art, how you execute your pumpkin art is up to you: you can carve or paint on actual pumpkins, do 2D or 3D digital pumpkins, papercraft or cutouts, etc. We encourage you to work with a variety of styles and mediums in your suite.
  • All of your pumpkin art pieces need to include the corresponding network logo, either worked into the art itself or on the final image.
  • Each of your pumpkin art pieces should include fall elements in the background. These should be unique for each network and/or unique to the style/medium of your designs: think leaves, Halloween elements, cozy sweaters, pumpkins and apples, etc.
  • You can show just the key elements of the reference images, but you must provide context to clearly show what the show/movie is in the art.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a pitch. Though most projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit pitch, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any pitches via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all pitch submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

Each network has its own persona and style, which should be taken into account in your pumpkin art:

TBS - Hot Girl/Boy Summer is over, and TBS is here with Fall-O-Ween to take over the vibes and just have a good time. TBS is tonally cheeky, spirited, and excited for the autumn season....mainly because we get to show off our new sweaters.

TNT - TNT is the spine-tingling sibling of the campaign. Exciting and thrilling, TNT takes Fall-O-Ween a lot more seriously than TBS and truTV. It loves a good jump scare, lives for shock value, and has been preparing all year to embrace the season's more ominous spirit.

truTV - truTV never takes itself too seriously, and believes fall is the perfect time to pull all  the punches through big laughs and even bigger pranks. As the weather gets colder, truTV is here to warm you up with spontaneous joy and a few tricks up its knitted sweater sleeves.

Please make sure to reference the network/show social media channels, in addition to the provided reference images, in order to get the look/feel/tone/color scheme of each show/movie IP. Please also note that the key art being shared is for photo reference only and not to be replicated with text (outside of the logo).

Finally, here are some pumpkin artworks for inspiration:

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 or fewer characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this suite of art.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed explanation of how you'll execute each pumpkin artwork, with sample art, rough designs, and references. In your Treatment, you should explain how you plan to bring each property to life and incorporate fall elements: think about what format(s) and medium(s) you'll work in, how you'll execute each artwork, and include any references that will help the Sponsor envision what you intend to create. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual assets.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.

They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Tongal supports inclusivity in all of our productions and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.
