Create short and energetic 2D animated Instagram Story videos for [solidcore] to celebrate some of the upcoming fall & winter cultural moments and holidays.

If you don't already know, [solidcore] workouts are 50 minutes of full-body strength training on a pilates-inspired reformer, and they're truly an immersive experience: held in a dimly-lit room, under blue lights, fueled by energizing music, and driven by an experienced coach who provides everyone with personalized instruction. It's incredibly exciting, and [solidcore] wants to infuse that kind of excitement into a collection of Instagram Stories for their channel that can celebrate some of the key cultural moments and holidays happening this fall & winter, from Halloween to Thanksgiving and World Mental Health Day. For this project then, we're looking for talented 2D animators or motion graphic artists to create five different short animated videos, as well as some static images.

The goal of this content is to create awareness for [solidcore] by supporting different cultural moments and holidays, while utilizing smart [solidcore] branding and uniquely relevant visual elements related to each occasion. You'll find the list of cultural moments and holidays, along with some key details, in the Background, and you'll see that most have some obvious visual associations or styles (like Hispanic Heritage Month). It'll be important that your videos incorporate lots of dynamic movement, especially in the motion text and in the visual elements you include, so you'll want to find ways to interesting and energetic ways to bring that into the video, even having on-screen elements move and dance about on screen. A Halloween post, for example, could have a pumpkin dancing around.

Beyond general holiday theming, there's a lot of room here to play with elements of the [solidcore] experience. For example, you could incorporate illustrations of their signature [sweatlana] fitness machine and decorate it in the style of the holiday or cultural moment.

It's important to note that the Hispanic/LatinX month asset will need to be delivered ahead of the others. Production on this will start immediately upon greenlight, so it's highly encouraged to include initial designs of the Hispanic Heritage Month content in you pitch. When viewing the timeline, notice the separate timeline for this asset on the right-hand side. For pre-production on the remaining assets, you'll be asked to provide a treatment that explains your approach to each cultural moment, followed by storyboards of each video.

For Veteran's Day and the General holiday message, we're requesting graphic templates, we're thinking Photoshop here, but we'd also be open to Canva templates here too. These will consist of individual slides conveying the pertinent information so that the [solidcore] team can quickly and easily add in the copy text closer to the posting date. The execution here is all about communicating the information in a fun, polished, and premium way. That said, please speak to how you'll templatize these in an easily accessible way for the [solidcore] team.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

DELIVERABLES: There are 5 total video assets and 4 total static image assets.

  • Five up to :15 videos (9x16)
  • Four Static image PSD templates (9x16)

TIMELINE: HERE

EXPOSURE: We anticipate content will be used on the platforms listed below, but if casting talent, please be sure your talent reviews the required Talent Release, as it is not limited to these platforms. You should also review our Music providers in the Project Requirements, as well as the platform best practices page.

  • Instagram

TONE:

  • Empowering, supportive
  • Premium, elevated, clean. NOT kid-like or cutesy

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • All copy MUST be lower case, including proper nouns like "Thanksgiving."
  • There are only select words that we bracket, and when we use these words, we always bracket them. See the brand book for more.
  • Use [solidcore] blue color to provide emphasis.
  • Animations must include [solidcore] logo on bottom, bracketed.
  • Holiday messaging must be general and all-inclusive. Ie for the end of year holiday messaging, it should be "Happy Holidays" NOT "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hannukah." This applies to all the cultural moments represented.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects on our platform do move forward, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

CULTURAL MOMENTS:

  • National Hispanic Heritage Month Video - This should feature National Hispanic Heritage Month colors in addition to the [solidcore] blue. Key message: "from all of us at [solidcore], happy national hispanic heritage month."

  • World Mental Health Day Video - This asset should be empowering, but calming, promoting physical and mental strength; encourage users to take care of themselves and put themselves first. Some phrases you could use here might be "strength is more than just physical: it's mental and emotional. when we work to make ourselves stronger physically, we are helping become the best versions of ourselves mentally" or "time spent on yourself is never time wasted."

  • Halloween  Video - There's a lot of room to have fun with this one! It should include the words "happy halloween" and an animation that showcases halloweed + [solidcore]. Beyond that, have fun with it. You could show [sweatlana] with a sheet around it, an animation of a little ghost on [sweatlana], or some other really cool idea we haven't even thought of yet.

  • Thanksgiving Video - This should include the words "from all of us at [solidcore], happy thanksgiving." This could be a fun animation like a cartoon turkey in a [solidcore] studio or a thanksgiving feast on [sweatlana]. Alternatively, you could incorporate an engagement piece by including an IG question sticker such as "what are you thankful for this year?" If you plan to do this, leave room in your design for [solidcore] to add the sticker when posting.

  • Veteran's Day Graphic Template - This should be an elevated graphic template, similar to this post, that has a place for the employee photo and the following pieces of text with easily editable placeholders for the [solidcore] team to populate: name, position, years at [solidcore], armed forces position, how does [solidcore help you be the strongest version of yourself?

  • Native American/American Indian Heritage Month Video - This should include the message "from all of us at [solidcore], happy native american heritage month" and needs to incorporate Native American Heritage month colors in addition to [solidcore] blue.

  • General holiday Message Graphic Template - Like the Veteran's Day template above, this will be a design you create that needs to be editable by the [solidcore] team in the future. This post will showcase a holiday message from a member of the [solidcore] executive team. This design should have three separate slides that will posted one after the other. It needs to have space for a photo of the executive team member, space for the quote from them, and a general holiday message. Think of this like a digital holiday card from the [solidcore] leadership to their community.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed out in the Deliverables.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A more detailed and specific description of how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables, both in terms of what we can expect to see, and how you’ll make it. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to shooting, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.
