Create a suite of digital videos that will educate consumers about the amazing convenience and benefits of ordering trees at FastGrowingTrees.com, the world’s largest online nursery.

Fast Growing Trees is doing for the tree business what Casper has done for the mattress business. From your home you can peruse their highly informative website, make an informed decision, place your order, and within a few days trees, are arriving at your doorstep.

The goal of this project is to get the word out why people shouldn't buy trees any other way. Here’s the thing though, we don’t want some stale corporate-feeling video with canned VO and stock shots of trees. While these videos absolutely need to be informative they should also have personality, a point of view, and be completely relatable to the target audience (see below).

DELIVERABLES:

Experience Video (16x9):
One :60 video on why consumers should choose FastGrowingTrees.com and how the shopping experience works.

  • Fruit Trees (Meyer Lemon Tree*, Avocado Tree, Fruiting Cherry Tree)
  • Indoor/Patio Trees (Banana Tree*, Palm Tree, Fiddle Leaf Fig)

Explainer ads - Explainer ads are executed with on-screen personalities or customer testimonials. This approach relies on a strong problem statement to set up the product as the solution and explain its benefits.

Product ads - Product ads are executed with live product footage or product photography and bold text/graphics.

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:

  • YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and FastGrowingTrees.com

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Slight Female Skew 45-64; Household Income $70K+; enjoys travel, outside activities, DIYer.  They're no non-sense, want whatever they consume to get to the point but don't mind being entertained in the process.

TONE:

  • Engaging, relatable, to-the-point, and informative.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • To reflect the target audience the filming location should be an upscale home (East Coast / Mid-Atlantic style) with a nice sized yard.
  • You must show an "after shot" in your video of how the trees would look when they are mature. This could be achieved through stock footage so please make sure you budget for this.
  • The pitch winner must provide videos of the actors (vs just headshots) for casting approvals. As the target audience skews 40-60, please cast accordingly.
  • Please note that after receiving the trees, they need about a day or two out of the box to be in tip-top shape for filming.

OPEN BID:

  • This is an open bid project, so you will get to set your own budget proposal within the $30K - 40K range to create all the listed deliverables.
  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the sponsor and the project team.

If you’ve ever been in the market for a tree you know the purchasing process can be a massive hassle. You drive to your local nursery, meander through the greenhouse having no idea what you’re looking at, and wonder which tree could actually flourish under your care. After finally figuring out what you want to buy, you have to get said tree home, but you REALLY don’t want to ask your slightly strange neighbor with the pick-up. FastGrowingTrees.com provides convenience, speed, and simplicity for anyone looking to buy trees and plants. With a comprehensive selection of over 2,000 trees, plants, and shrubs, FastGrowingTrees.com has the right selection to suit any climate, location, and customer’s individual needs.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

For some examples of effective pitch videos, check out this gallery. All pitches will remain private until after the sponsor gives the creator the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
