Using existing footage and VO, create a suite of engaging and inspiring short-form social videos that drive home the messaging that Health Carousel empowers domestic and international travel nurses to take control of their careers and reconnect with their passion for healthcare.

As the American nursing landscape settles into a new shape following the Covid-19 pandemic, nurses  are dealing with burnout, stagnation, and an overall lack of control over their careers. This is especially true for domestic and international travel nurses. But it doesn't have to be this way. With Empowered, Health Carousel – a leading travel nurse staffing agency – will create awareness around the robust benefits, professional development opportunities, and support Health Carousel provides for nurses so they can regain control of their careers and reconnect with their passion for healthcare.

To kickoff the Empowered campaign, we're looking for a Tongal editor to create three engaging and inspiring "Where are they now" style-videos combining existing footage and VO with dynamic motion graphics and on-screen text. Over the past few years, we've worked with Health Carousel to film docu-style profiles of multiple international and domestic travel nurses that bring to life the hard work and the triumphs of international travel nursing, why domestic travel nurses love the travel nurse lifestyle, and how Health Carousel supports these nurses through every step of their journey; check out the links in the Background section and the sample assets we're providing for you to use in your pitch.

You'll use this existing footage and VO and add dynamic motion graphics and on-screen text to celebrate the career growth paths these nurses are now on with Health Carousel for a suite of social-first videos. By showing how Health Carousel goes beyond helping these nurses simply find their next assignment to empower and support them through long-term career paths, you'll create awareness and inspire nurses to leverage Health Carousel's support, take advantage of the professional development opportunities they offer, and otherwise take back control of their careers.

For the purposes of the Pitch Phase, we are including a folder of assets, including some sample videos, logos, brand colors, and font files, and some directional guidance so you can put together a :10-:15 proof of concept edit to demonstrate your creative approach. This "Where are they now" bucket of content is just one of a few creative approaches we're looking to take to bring the Empowered messaging to life, so consider how your approach to motion graphics, on-screen text, and the existing footage/VO could expand to other concepts and videos down the road.

In the Background, we have provided a comprehensive list of nurses who have made significant strides in their careers with the support of Health Carousel. As a filmmaker, you are invited to select any three nurses from this list to focus on your suite of videos. Each nurse's story is unique and inspirational, offering a wealth of material to create a compelling and motivational narrative. Feel free to choose the stories that resonate most with you and that you believe will inspire others the most. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.

If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.

  • STORYBOARD: Include individual images for each key beat in your video. It is best practice to include scripted dialogue or VO, along with on-screen text or disclaimers, under each panel in our Storyboards. If there are multiple unique videos, ensure you submit a Storyboard for each video.

For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.
