Working with existing video and photo assets, as well as a few T-Mobile employees who'll be filming themselves, put together three energetic and fun videos for social media that individually showcase T-Mobile's corporate campuses, company culture, and employee compensation - all with the goal of helping prospective employees see themselves at the Un-carrier.
We don't usually say something like this, but while we were writing this page we spent so much time looking at all the benefits of working at T-Mobile, and scrolling through images and stories of happy employees, that we had to wonder... would we look good in magenta? Maybe, but, you know, let's not get sidetracked. Working at the Un-carrier looks pretty awesome, and they offer an unparalleled employee experience, whatever career path you might take, so T-Mobile wants to put together a few short videos that help prospective employees see what it's like to work there by showcasing the campuses, the company culture, and the compensation. They want to drive people to check out t-mobile.com/careers, and apply on their website. To that end, they've got a lot of existing video and photos assets, but they'll also be asking three employees to self-tape and talk about their own experiences at T-Mobile; all of these assets will serve as the foundation of the videos.
The goal of this project then is to edit together three :30 videos that T-Mobile can use on various social networks, mixing together existing assets with original footage from the T-Mobile employees. You'll be asked to script the videos, and weigh in on the employees when they self-tape, but this is predominantly about editing and the creation of motion graphics and text. The fun part here is the tone and the content. T-Mobile's got a distinct voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, celebratory - but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, maybe even a little quirky. We want these videos to feel conversational and, especially since we're featuring employees, authentic and fun. Structurally, we imagine these will be dynamic and full of energy, with lot of cuts and clever transitions. The color magenta (#E20074) is key too, if you haven't already noticed, and it's pervasive throughout T-Mobile content.
You'll create one video that showcases their corporate campuses, one video that showcases their company culture, and one that addresses compensation and benefits. There is additional information on these in the Background, but you'll also be provided with key talking points and messaging priorities during pre-production and scripting.
Not all assets are available for the Pitch Phase, but you can preview some assets HERE, and your submission should include a proof-of-concept video that demonstrates how you'll handle b-roll and messaging for the Company Culture video, and you should use those existing assets to do that.
