Pitch to create a quick, social-style tutorial showing a creative craft, recipe, or other lesson using Chime to purchase the materials needed to bring it to life.
Chime is a financial technology company founded on the premise that basic banking services should be helpful, easy, and free, and they want to spread the word! To help promote Chime to potential new users, Chime is looking to create two separate video ads in the style of a TikTok or Instagram Reels tutorial, breaking down a creative craft, recipe, or other lesson, while using Chime to purchase the materials needed to bring that to life.
While Chime would like this video to be in the style of a TikTok and Instagram Reels tutorial (you can get a great sense of the style they'd be aiming for here), what exactly that tutorial is would be up to you. They do want to make sure that whoever is appearing on screen actually knows what they're doing - be it cooking, crafting, art, design, etc - and that they are charismatic. Talent does not need to be an actual influencer, but should just have knowledge of and passion for what they're doing. Using Chime should be naturally incorporated into the tutorial through shopping for the materials they need to bring whatever they're making to life, but the dialogue or VO should focus mainly on the tutorial and expressing creativity.
In terms of style, please note that this episode should seem more elevated than pure UGC content, but not so polished that it feels like a TV commercial. So really we'd be looking to strike the balance between something that feels a little more polished than the average TikTok video, while still feeling like it belongs on the platform.
In your treatment, please include at least two potential tutorial options. If you have specific casting in mind, please include those in your treatment as well (though this is not required). For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
