Working from provided scripts, produce an engaging :30 broadcast video and four :30 radio spots that build awareness around the convenience, comfort, and satisfying tastiness in every ready-to-heat dish from Bob Evans Farms.
Please note that product cannot be shipped internationally and you must be able to film and/or receive product in the US.
Bob Evans Farm's feel-good, ready-to-serve refrigerated foods provide balance for the busy person who loves a homemade family meal but appreciates a quick, easy-to-prepare solution that promises that homemade feeling and great flavor for only a fraction of the time and work. Dishes like their mac and cheese or mashed potatoes are a great meal base when you're looking for 'no cook' customizations that help you embrace flavor and satisfy your craving for comfort without extra clean-up – or when your dinner plans simply go awry.
Following the model of this current 'Bring Out the Bob' broadcast video, we're looking for a filmmaker who can capture the delicious convenience of Bob Evans refrigerated side dishes in a warm, inviting, but ultimately approachable style for a new :30 broadcast video. Bob Evans has a hero script ready to go, as well as :30 hero scripts for four radio spots, but you should expect to work with Tongal and the Bob Evans team to adapt both the video and audio heroes for :15 and :06 edits as well.
The hero broadcast video script will feature two leading Bob Evans refrigerated side dishes; product will be provided to the greenlit filmmaker along with food styling direction and detailed brand guidelines for talent, styling, and set decoration.
It should go without saying that your food stylist is going to be a key team member here; other key components will be your cast, location and set design, and cinematography. While this broadcast spot won't feature any faces, you should expect to cast a primary talent – we'll likely stay focused on their hands only – and three to four background talent, including a partner and kids. There's no on-screen dialogue, but you should plan to cast at least two VO talent across both the broadcast video and the four radio spots.
Your broadcast video should encompass the comfort of Bob Evans with set design and props that convey a well-loved home. You should plan to shoot wider shots to establish your setting and story, mixed with eye-catching close-ups and extreme close ups on the food that capture the real quality ingredients of Bob Evans...and give us the closest thing to drool-worthy smell-o-vision possible. And behind the scenes, you should expect to provide video village for reps from both the brand team and the Tongal team as well as a virtual uplink for any brand team members watching along virtually.
More details around the expectations for all of these elements is listed out in the Production Assumptions in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:
By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects do move forward, we'll notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and project team.
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.
If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot at your own expense.
