Calling all prank masters! Share concepts for different types of social media posts or strategies that build anticipation for the new animated Nickelodeon series Big Nate that play into Nate's penchant for pranks and trickery.
Nate Wright -- the 11-year-old self-proclaimed prank master of Lincoln Peirce’s hit comic strip and children’s book series Big Nate -- is a rebellious sixth-grader whose adventures (or should we say misadventures?) constantly find him in hilarious situations. Nate is best known for causing mayhem, awkward moments, and getting himself in detention over and over and over again largely due to his constant pranking. Though often misunderstood by his classmates, teachers, and family members, Nate’s unwavering confidence helps him make a lasting impression on whoever he comes in contact with. Whether he’s devising the ultimate prank, swooning over his latest crush, or unexpectedly dominating a chess tournament, Nate shows that being the underdog is actually pretty cool.
After 30+ years of success as a popular comic strip and children's book series, Big Nate is getting his big break by joining the legendary Nickelodeon family. Nickelodeon needs your help in generating social media concepts that will help generate buzz around the series launch. Big Nate is the ultimate prankster - so think about how Nickelodeon can use social media to pull some pranks and tap into that signature mischievousness that makes Big Nate so endearing.
Pretty much everything is in-bounds for your concepts, so long as it feels native to its respective social platform. You can think about but are not limited to:
The main goal is to create something that's going to surprise and delight the audience and get them to engage/interact with the content. This is NOT just about coming up with an idea for a single clever video.
There are no video assets available for this project so you want to your concepts to pull inspiration from the existing comic strip and children books. We encourage you to submit multiple different concepts/approaches, and you may include a reference to concept art, links, etc. in your concept submission.
