Create a :30 animated stop-motion or motion graphics TrueView video for Etiket, Canada's most trusted curator of beauty and wellness brands and products.

The goal of this project is to create a :30 animated video that introduces viewers to the Etiket brand and how they offer a carefully curated selection of high quality skincare, fragrance and beauty products from specialists around the world, and ends with a call-to-action driving viewers to visit their website to shop now!

+ Etiket is interested in using stop-motion animation and motion graphics to tell their premium-quality beauty brand story.

+ Please see the "Etiket Deck" under the Assets Tab for their logo, style guide, hit list of products they'd like you to highlight in their video, and key marketing messages to help you write your script.

DELIVERABLES: Four total deliverables:

  • One :30 video (16x9)
  • Three alternate :30 versions (16x9). Alternate variations will involve the same characters, locations, and script, and will mostly involve small changes that can be handled in post-production, including changes to CTAs, end-card designs, on-screen text copy, and other minor edits. Additionally, depending on where the creative lands, a version may include a slight variation to the script. This will be decided between the selected producer and client during scripting.

TIMELINE:  For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:  YouTube. For YouTube TrueView for action best practices please click here.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Women, ages 25-55 who are into high-end beauty and skincare and typically care about quality over quantity, are looking for products specifically tailored to meet their needs, want excellent customer service, and expect to be treated like a VIP.
  • Though their customers are 75% female, they are also 25% male.

TONE:  Simple, straight-forward, informational, yet approachable. Not dry and boring!

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Only focus on the Etiket e-commerce experience and driving viewers to shop their website.
  • In your storytelling and visuals, lead with their skincare product offering (since that is what Etiket is known for).
  • All music in your video must be sourced from one of Tongal's preferred music partners. Learn more about our partners in the Payment & Project Requirements section below.
  • Please reference the Etiket Official Site to see what kind of language they use to talk about their brand, values and product.
  • The Sponsor will provide a logo, brand guidelines and hi-res product shots and/or actual physical product for you to use in your video.

Some key value propositions to know about Etiket (pronounced "Etiquette") are:

  • They are an online retailer - etiket.ca - that only ships to Canada, but they also have ONE brick & mortar boutique in Montreal. (Note: your video should be all about their online store!)
  • They are trustworthy, established EXPERTS in their field and real people – NOT just a website – who you can trust to make sure you're buying the right products and you know how to use them.
  • They offer a CAREFULLY CURATED selection of the best beauty brands and products that are not not available in Sephora or Department Stores.
  • They sell both medical-grade and all-natural products, like SkinCeuticals and Tata Harper.

The Etiket mission is to give every customer a personalized, educational and friendly experience offering results-oriented skin care and treatment services, niche fragrances, and luxury beauty products.

The Etiket philosophy is to source and offer a carefully curated selection of high quality, original and effective beauty products from innovators and specialists around the world.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video and what animation style you intend to use. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • SCRIPT (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • STORYBOARDS (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across. You can download the Tongal storyboard template here.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
