Cast a diverse mix of entertaining young German actors to shoot influencer-style unboxing content for a big ballsy sizzle video that'll help Manscaped introduce Germans to the Performance Package 4.0: die richtigen Geräte für den Job.
When we say "wir retten Eier," you're not thinking about breakfast, are you? Sprechen sie Deutsch? How about someone on your team? Manscaped has produced a big fun sizzle video for their luxury grooming kit, the Performance Package 4.0 (check it out here, oder hier auf duetsch), and now they need someone to create a version of that video for the German market. On top of that, when you watch the sizzle, you'll notice that it's a montage of "influencer-style" unboxing clips - Manscaped already has some German clips like that, but they need a good deal more. That's where you come in.
The goal of this project is two-fold: A) Manscaped needs your skills as an editor to recreate that big ballsy sizzle video, while also creating a few cutdowns for social platforms; and B) they need you to source additional influencer-style clips from 6 different German actors. We say "source" because, while you'll be responsible for finding and casting the talent, you don't necessarily have to film them all yourself. It might be easier to do that, but since this is influencer-style, some or all of the talent that you cast could just film themselves remotely. We're not looking for high production value - it can feel like it's shot on a nicer webcam or phone camera - so as long as everyone appears to be in different interesting locations, it's up to you which approach you take. The talent itself should be between 18-25, split between males and females, and you can even include couples if that makes sense - no need for actual influencers though.
In terms of the main sizzle video edit, this essentially is just a German-language recreation, so you don't have to overthink it, but we will be asking each of the talent to run through an entire "unboxing" of the Performance Package in their footage, rather than simply deliver a few select lines, like what you see in this existing clip. This will give you as much to work with as possible, and Manscaped has provided robust general German-language guidelines that should help with filming talent. You'll also be provided with 6 other existing influencer clips, as well as some select b-roll (like this), and general brand assets.

The Manscaped Performance Package 4.0 (ENG | DE) breakdown: Below are the key items that the brand wants the sizzle video to touch on.
Opportunity for Expanded Scope: One of Manscaped's best performing influencer videos has been the Excessorize Me video we'd linked to in the Objectives. Although it's not mandatory, they'd love for one of the German actors you cast to do some sort of table top unboxing / review like that, but in their own style. If they're able to, Manscaped would expand the scope to include a suite of videos just for that, with a full length unboxing video, as well as additional social cutdowns. If this is possible, let us know in your Pitch, and we can see about accounting for that in production.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule.
PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to shooting, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.
MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.
ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment. You are responsible for the costs associated the hard drive and shipping.
