COMEDY - Kia’s “Hero’s Journey” starring Melissa McCarthy
Kia employs one of our generation’s best physical comedians, snappy editing, and a rockin’ soundtrack in this eco-focused ad that made us LOL more times than any other commercial during the game.
SOCIAL COMMENTARY - Audi’s “Daughter”
Many of this year’s most buzzed-about ads shared a progressive message, but this one from Audi stood out for it’s simplicity and heart.
FAVE CELEB APPEARANCE - T-Mobile’s “Bag of Unlimited” starring Martha Stewart & Snoop Dogg
Martha and Snoop continue to capitalize on their unlikely friendship. This spot from T-Mobile (who had a pretty stellar night overall with additional spots featuring Kristen Schaal and Justin Bieber) hit all the high notes, pun intended.
SEXIEST CGI - Mr. Clean’s “Cleaner of Your Dreams”
We noticed a lot of CG during this year’s crop of commercials, but Mr. Clean’s own sexy self takes the cake for being both unexpectedly seductive, yet effective. Who doesn’t love a man that does his share of the chores?
OVERALL FAVORITE - Tide’s #BradshawStain
Terry got people talking when he noticed a stain on his shirt in the middle of broadcast, but it all made sense once this ad aired during the second quarter of the game. This spot was smart because it tied back to the event we were all here to watch AND made sense for the brand, while delivering humor and excitement. Score!
