For more than a decade, we've unleashed the force of our global creative community to produce content for every corner of the Star Wars universe. So to celebrate this year's Star Wars Day, here are a few shining examples of partnerships with the iconic franchise, all produced by our galaxy of Tongal Creators. We hope our creative alliance will endure for many light years to come, and right now there's a fun live-action video project for Hasbro on our Open Projects page, looking for playful pitches to showcase the toy brand's Premium Star Wars Roleplay Helmets. ⚡️ We partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm in 2017 to assemble a team of Star Wars superfans to write and produce a Rogue One-inspired miniseries featuring new toys from The LEGO Group, Hasbro, Mattel, and more. The Go Rogue series earned more than 14 million organic online views, was broadcast on the giant screens of Times Square, and was named PRWeek's Best Global Campaign of 2017.
⚡️ Tongal Creators have produced dozens of fan-powered LEGO stop-motion videos to mark various milestones in the universe — including a recap of The Force Awakens told in LEGO bricks that appeared in theaters before The Last Jedi, a suite of videos to celebrate the 20th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, and many more.
⚡️ We worked with Samsung to identify and engage a group of superfans to help design and launch a limited edition Star Wars version of its POWERbot vacuum. Tongal Creators also produced all the video content to support the product rollout.
⚡️ A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away (back in 2013, to be precise) Pringles engaged Star Wars fans in the Tongal community to create a cross-promotional Force For Fun TV spot. We received more than 1000 ideas from 32 countries, with the winning video broadcast on ABC primetime.
