Janet McMillen spent much of her life as a dedicated librarian and schoolteacher. Now, at age 62, she is "living the dream" (her own words) as a stand-up comic in Toronto's bustling independent comedy scene. I witnessed Janet's start in stand-up two years ago at one of my live shows for first-timers, and she was the most senior comic I've ever had take my stage. She's fearless and funny, and making people laugh is what makes her heart beat.
