Are You Ready For Your Close Up, Mr. Binaca?

We certainly hope so, because this is not your typical Tongal Project.

Move over Oscar Winners --- Dr. Fresh, Inc. is back for more, and this time, they want to give everyone the opportunity to have some fun recreating their favorite movie scenes, and in the process cast Binaca in a supporting role…

Inspired by Team Tiger Awesome’s submissions to our first Binaca campaign,  we’re launching this part scene sweding, part viral marketing campaign. Just pick a famous scene from any movie (anything - Citizen Kane to Caddyshack to Inception) and re-create it using Binaca as a central prop or character. The scene can be from any film, but just be sure that all of the footage you use is your original work and not taken from the film. Nick Mundy’s Died Hard Video (linked above) is a perfect example of how this could work in a really funny and clever way.

This project will be worth a total of $10,000 + tons of incredible prizes and consist of two phases.

PHASE 1: VIDEO – Make a 30 second short inserting Binaca into a famous scene from a movie. Remember, THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL, you are using Binaca to parody a movie scene. There is a bumper located in the Project Files Tab, which you may tag onto the end of your video to serve as the advertising. As always, creativity and humor trump all, so really have some fun with this one.

PHASE 2: EXHIBITION – THIS PHASE IS OPEN TO EVERYONE ON TONGAL, including people who did not submit videos to the competition.

--Goal: Using the five winning videos, any of the fifteen additional purchases, or your own video from the previous phase, try to generate as many views of the videos as possible within a period of sixty (60) days using Tongal’s new “Post On YouTube” functionality. Here’s how it works:

1) Click on the video you want to share so that it pops up and plays.

2) On the bottom right of the Tongal Video Player, click on the “Post On YouTube” button.

3) Enter the information for your YouTube account into the prompt window. NOTE: this is case-sensitive.

4) Check to make sure the video has uploaded on your YouTube account. NOTE: It may take anywhere from five minutes up to two hours for the video to complete processing.

5) Every time someone watches the video you uploaded, the view will be recorded and count to your view total for that video.

Any member that accumulates 50,000 views during the Exhibition Phase, as measured by YouTube and Tongal, will receive a 16 GB Wi-Fi enabled iPad.

100,000 views earns you a weekend trip to Vegas (coach airfare for two and a two night's stay at a "four star" hotel).

250,000 views earns you a week long trip to Hawaii (Coach airfare for two people, and four night’s hotel accommodations at a “four star” hotel in Oahu).

Generate 1,000,000 views and you'll earn a 2010 Smart "fortwo" Car.

Terms and Conditions for Exhibition Phase Prizes: One in-kind prize per winning Contestant (i.e., a winning Contestant comprised of two or more individuals is entitled to only one prize). Contestants who qualify for more than one class of in-kind prize may choose to receive only one prize (e.g., a Contestant whose submission is viewed over 100,000 times may choose to receive either the iPad or the trip to Las Vegas, but not both). Winning Contestants must redeem their prizes within ninety (90) days after the end of the Contest. Any in-kind prize not redeemed by such date will be forfeited. In-kind prizes are not transferable or assignable. In-kind prizes may not be exchanged for cash. You may share all twenty eligible videos, but views are not cumulative(e.g., Sharing all twenty videos and earning 50,000 views in aggregate will not get you an iPad), views only count per individual video.
