There is a conversation occurring right now in our country with regards to refugees. Understandably, that conversation is being controlled by fear. Fear of terrorism. Fear of the unknown. But there is another side. The human side. It is not our job to dictate the dialogue, but rather make sure it IS a “dialogue” - not a “monologue.” By relating the true story of the Al-Sukeita family back to everyday Americans, we can give the “human side” of the refugee conversation a voice.
