Video

Create a live action :30 TrueView video for Kintone, an all-in-one workplace platform.

The goal of this project is to create a :30 live action video that communicates to viewers what Kintone is, how it's distinct in the marketplace while ending with a call to action that encourages them to sign-up for a free 30-day trial.

Kintone allows highly collaborative teams to build, share, and automate custom workflows and processes for data-driven results. Working in Kintone’s centralized platform means never having to search your inbox for a lost Excel spreadsheet, hunt through Slack for an old conversation, or log-in to an occasionally-used SaaS subscription for that one snippet of data you need for your monthly report.

DELIVERABLES:

  • One :30 video (16x9)
  • Three alternate :30 versions (16x9). Alternate variations will involve the same characters, locations, and script, and will mostly involve small changes that can be handled in post-production, including changes to CTAs, end-card designs, on-screen text copy, and other minor edits. Additionally, depending on where the creative lands, a version may include a slight variation to the script. This will be decided between the selected producer and client during scripting.

TIMELINE:  For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:  YouTube. For YouTube TrueView for action best practices please click here.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Someone that is in an operational role and/or does operational work to improve their business processes and/or keep the business running smoothly. They see potential uses for Kintone across multiple departments and teams—Kintone works best when used for collaboration and has a myriad of possible use cases (project management, Customer Relationship Management, expense reports, HR software, marketing content calendar, onboarding, etc.)
  • Job title examples: COO, Operations Manager/Director, Business Operations, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, Admin, Coordinator, Project Manager / ProgramLead / Management Director, anyone working at a SMB in a C-level / Manager-level.
  • Someone who feels passionate about helping their team to work in a more productive way, problem-solvers and self learners.
  • Someone who’s a doer, who loves to figure things out and not having to depend on someone else. Usually, they do not know how to code themselves, but are tech savvy and willing to learn new technology.

TONE: Down to earth, playful, honest, accessible, talks to you like a friend and someone who is in the know.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • While you don't have to directly use them, the video aesthetic and color palette should draw some inspiration from Kintone's animal characters.
  • Please do not name competitors.
  • The following must be communicated or included in the video:
    • You don’t need a developer or additional IT resources to build the software you need with Kintone, you can do it with the team you have.
    • Imagery of the drag-and-drop builder should be a featured visual.
    • Every department can customize Kintone to track their own unique tasks and projects instead of being scattered across 20 different platforms.
    • Kintone organizes communication by project or topic linking specific data points and communication together, instead of having conversations trapped in email or chat tools.
    • Kintone is a single platform that is scalable and agile as your company's needs and projects change.
    •  Try Kintone out for free (no credit card required) for 30 days!

Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We’re working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and our advice here is to make sure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline, while also ensuring everyone's safety.

What truly elevates Kintone beyond another SaaS model is its customizability. Any application you need, any workflow you want—you can create it in Kintone. Custom software, designed by you, for exactly what you need. And you can do it without writing code or hassling your IT team for help. Kintone’s drag-and-drop builder lets anyone of any technical level create the applications they need to manage their tasks, projects, and everything in between.

If your sales team needs a CRM, your accounting team an expense report, and your marketing team a content calendar—you can get it all in Kintone. Just start building. From Fortune 500 companies to the local mom & pop store—Kintone is made and used by all of them. Over 15,000+ companies use Kintone to solve and streamline their business operations on a daily basis. Here are two video examples Kintone considers best in class.

  •  They like the format of this video.
  •  They like the playfulness of this video and how it immediately explains what they do and draws you in.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • SCRIPT (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • STORYBOARDS (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across. You can download the Tongal storyboard template here.

  • HEADSHOTS/CASTING BOARDS (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to shooting, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

  • SCRIPT: This project requires script approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your script and ask you to submit a new version. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until a script is approved by the Sponsor.
  • HEADSHOT (IF APPLICABLE): This project requires headshot approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. You must submit at least two actor options per role. If the Sponsor does not approve either of your options for a role, you may be asked to submit two new actor options.  Tongal advocates for inclusivity in on-screen representation and diversity in casting. As a best practice, please submit three to four options per role with at least one of those options being a person of color.
  • STORYBOARD: If you are doing an animated video this project requires storyboard approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your storyboard and ask you to submit a new version.
  • LOCATION (IF APPLICABLE): This project requires location approval before filmmakers move onto the Video Phase. This means you will need to submit multiple images of your primary filming location. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your location and ask you to submit additional photos or to find a new location and submit images for that.

For your convenience, we’ve provided some helpful templates to use at your discretion. They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the providers’ names above.

If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.
