Using motion graphics and provided footage, create two social videos and two sets of display banner designs to drive new user sign-ups for WW's high-profile Winter campaign.

WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) is the #1 best diet for weight loss. For more than 55 years, WW has helped millions lose weight with the latest nutritional and behavior change science. With the holidays quickly approaching, many people will be thinking about their health and wellness. WW is planning a buzzworthy Winter campaign to ensure WW is at the top of people's minds when searching for programs to help them achieve their wellness goals.

To help support this campaign, WW is looking for three creators to each produce two cohesive sets of digital assets that ultimately drive people to sign up for WW. Each set of assets includes a social video for Facebook & Instagram, as well as a set of animated display banner ads (please see the Background section for more information on the display banners!). The assets will be driven primarily by footage provided by WW and dynamic text/motion graphics. Greenlit creators may also be asked to incorporate the WW app interface and images that will be captured at an another upcoming WW shoot. Each creator will be responsible for making two different "sets" of creative, for a total of four assets (two social videos for FB/IG, two sets of display banner ads). Each set of assets should be creatively cohesive, and also fit into WW's larger brand campaign. WW will provide additional info to anyone who's selected to move forward.

For your pitch, please create a tailored portfolio of your past work showcasing 1) social videos that feature live-action footage and tell a clear, concise story; 2) app-focused/product-focused videos that use motion graphics; and 3) graphic design work showcasing past display banners or other relevant marketing-focused designs.

These assets have the potential to garner millions of impressions and have prominent placement on the world's leading websites, so this is an exciting opportunity to see your work featured on the Internet's biggest platforms!

Once assets are live, we anticipate that WW will ask for small changes & optimizations based on how the assets are performing, so there's also the opportunity for continued work with WW. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

EXAMPLES OF PAST WW SOCIAL VIDEOS

Check out this folder for examples of social videos that WW has used in the past that have been successful for them. Many of these videos feature live-action footage, and take careful note of how motion graphics and text are still the key creative drivers. Your assets will be driven primarily by footage provided by WW and dynamic text/motion graphics. Greenlit creators may also be asked to incorporate the WW app interface and images that will be captured at an another upcoming WW shoot.

INFORMATION ON ANIMATED DISPLAY BANNER ADS

Display banner ads are image (or image + graphic animation) advertisements, primarily placed on websites, where the user can click through to a brand's landing page to make a purchase (check out some effective banner ads HERE). The banner ads for WW will come in seven different sizes.

WW is looking for animated display banners where the text appears on screen at different times. You will NOT be required to code the display banners in HTML5 (that will be handled separately by WW), but you will need to create boards for each banner that clearly show frame-by-frame how the text should animate on screen (similar to a GIF) and create animation sample videos for the coder. After the display banners have been animated and coded, you will have the opportunity to view the final assets to ensure they look how you intended before final delivery. Examples of past WW display banner ads will be shared with the greenlit designer.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 or fewer characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. WW is mainly looking for savvy social-forward creators who have experience working with motion graphics and live-action footage (footage will be provided by WW to the greenlit creators). WW would also like to see strong graphic design skills for the display banners. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

The three most compelling pitches will be greenlit, and the responsible creators will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
