Submit your best graphic designs for Winn-Dixie's newest line of reusable shopping bags.

Reusable shopping bags are becoming more and more commonplace, and grocery chain Winn-Dixie wants to make sure their newest bags will stand out from the crowd. They are looking for designs that go beyond a simple logo on a blank background - they should be fun, creative, cool & trendy. In other words, they should be something shoppers would be proud to carry around. Winn-Dixie wants its own fun style and designs to share with customers. They'd like to feature store branding but focus mainly on unique & engaging designs. Trader's Joe's is a good example, but of course, Winn-Dixie is looking for its own unique look.

As a starting place, you can find Winn-Dixie brand assets & some additional guidelines in the Assets tab below. Please note that we are specifically looking for you to submit designs for the artwork that will appear on the bags themselves - as opposed to designing the shape/structure of the bags. In terms of artwork, we're open to seeing all sorts of designs, so show us your most creative ideas!

DELIVERABLES: Five creators will be selected to each create:

  • One (11.8" x 8.66" x 15.5") reusable bag design. See the dielines in the Assets for more specifics.

EXPOSURE: Winn-Dixie stores

TARGET AUDIENCE: Current Winn-Dixie shoppers

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Designs should lean into the core red color of Winn-Dixie branding
  • Designs should include the Winn-Dixie logo, but it does not need to be the main component of the design
  • Designs can feature the Winn-Dixie checkmark logo element (provided in the Assets tab below)
  • Designs should be anchored in the grocery world and feature food or hint to food in some way
  • Designs can feature hand drawn elements, including Winn-Dixie's collection of doodles (you can see more about this in the Assets tab below)
  • Designs featuring text must use one of the Winn-Dixie fonts (which you can find in the Assets tab below)
  • Designs can feature either lifestyle imagery (must be from stock photography or your own original work) or 100% drawn/designed assets
  • Designs should be evergreen. No seasonal designs, please.
  • If your design is influenced by the Winn Win Twinns, please note that you CANNOT feature actual pictures or drawings of the Twinns themselves. You can use quotes from their commercials, or other creative assets, such as their signature headbands (you can find more information on how to use the Headband asset in the Assets tab below)
  • Designs are also welcome to draw inspiration from Winn Dixie's weekly Item Price content, which have a hand drawn/doodle feeling to them

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): In 500 characters or less explain your approach or vision for the design.

  • BAG DESIGN (REQUIRED): Submit an image demonstrating your approach and vision for this design. While the image does not need to be 100% complete, the more polished a submission is, the more easily the sponsor will be able to understand your vision. Upload an image of your Artwork as a JPEG or PNG. Note that if you are selected, you will be required to provide a high-resolution 300 DPI layered PSD of your Artwork.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous graphic design work. Please specify your role & what the asset was used for. The Sponsor believes the submissions might generate additional work, and these links would demonstrate your ability to continue to execute on this project.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project, illustration or design files in order to submit final payment. You are responsible for the costs associated the hard drive and shipping.

For Tongal’s file delivery specs and any other questions you may have about post production, please click here.

  1. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is .png or .jpg.  Should your submission be greenlit, you will also be required to provide layered design files.

  2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

  3. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal. Materials provided by WarnerMedia do not require this.

  4. BY SUBMITTING A DESIGN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

  5. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

  6. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

  7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

  8. Designs must be in the English language or subtitled.

  9. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

  10. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

  11. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.

  12. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to execute the final Designs based on their prior work and experience as a designer.

  13. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished Designs without providing additional compensation. Remember it's easier to re-edit than re-shoot so try to get as much coverage as possible.

  14. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit creators MUST also provide releases for all assets appearing in their design.

  15. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
