Create three unique social videos for Safelite windshield replacement and repair that spread awareness for the ease and convenience of their services, so that the next time a viewer needs windshield work, Safelite is the first name that comes to mind.
Windshields are the unsung heroes of our vehicles, until the unexpected happens. Safelite wants people to know that if you've got windshield problems, from a crack to a destroyed windshield, they'll have your back to get you back on the road in no time. Having them in your contacts before the unimaginable happens makes it that much less stressful. To that end, the goal of this project is to build awareness of the Safelite brand so that people know who to call before they need it, by creating engaging content that will appeal to viewers on the featured social media channels.
These three videos will be featured on Safelite's own social accounts, two for Instagram and one for TikTok. You'll need to make sure each video feels native to the platform you are creating it for. In this case you'll be creating two videos specific to Instagram and one for TikTok. We expect these videos to be live action NOT animation. While we do expect talent to appear in the videos, there is no strict requirement as to how many you need to feature. If it's just you and your smartphone with a really great idea, then we want to hear it! You are not required to show autoglass at all, but can use it in your video if you have access to it and a great idea.
Your video does not need to be about the service, the primary goal is to show that Safelite is more than a corporate company, that they can be relatable and fun as a brand. These videos will be featured on Safelite's social media channels, so it's important that it's relatable and not too salesly. It should be something you might share with a friend because it's cool or funny and not something that'd interrupt your favorite TV show on ad-supported streaming. While the viewer should still be able to take away who Safelite is and what they generally do if they don't know already, this could be done with the end card or closing call-to-action. For example, you may end the video with an open-ended question relating to windshields or autoglass that prompts viewers to engage in the comments. The key here is to show you understand the Safelite voice, and know how to bring it to life through a fun, engaging, and relatable social video.
Safelite has provided their Jingle for you to use, and you can use our usual partner music librarys, but it's important to note that you cannot use trending sounds. Additionally, you will need to use Safelite graphics and fonts throughout your video so make sure to review the provided assets and plan accordingly. We are also asking for reframes to use this across platforms, but the focus will be on the main 9x16 videos specific to the platforms listed.
For your pitch, we encourage you to get creative with your approach and pitch more than three video concepts, as that'll help you align more quickly with the brand as you move into pre-production. Check out more information in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
