Using voiceover, motion graphics, or a combination of both, adapt a pre-existing Waterpik asset into a :30 direct response video optimized for Roku with their creative best practices in mind.
Waterpik is the #1 brand of Water Flossers and Replaceable Shower Heads in the world; Roku is America's #1 Streaming Platform. Together, with Roku's Interactive Ad technology, they will be bringing the opportunity to purchase the Cordless Plus Water Flosser directly from your connected TV using the power of the Roku remote. The goal of this project is to create a direct response video that increases Waterpik's visibility in a competitive market, while also offering Roku viewers a direct path to purchase at a discounted price.
Using this :30 video promoting the Cordless Plus Water Flosser, you'll create a :30 video that adheres to Roku's creative best practices and that integrates a strong call to action (CTA) leading the viewer to press OK on their Roku remote. We're open to creative takes on how to best do this, whether that's on-screen text and animation, or new voiceover, or a combination of them both. However, we don't expect the creative direction of the original video to be drastically altered. Roku's best practices do call for the CTA to be in the beginning and end, but it's most important that it fits in naturally with the flow of the current video.
To rework this, you might choose on-screen graphics or voiceover. The simplest way to execute this would be adding the required "Press OK to Shop Now" messaging to the endcard VO, but we are open to seeing other creative interpretations. If you do use voiceover, we suggest replacing the existing voiceover entirely.
Note that an interactive overlay will be placed over your video by the Roku team before it's deployed. You don't have to do anything special for this, but it would be helpful to plan your visual arrangement to accommodate the eventual inclusion of this overlay. To clarify, you WILL NOT be editing the overlays, so don't use this as part of your pitch. Check out more information on how the interactive element works, as well as Roku's creative best practices in Background. It's important to note that while you'll be adapting to Roku's creative best practices, you should still adhere to Waterpik’s brand guidelines.
