Recreate some of your favorite WWE RAW superstar moments in funny and original ways at home, and in an entertaining DIY style!

Fans of WWE RAW go all out - faces covered in warpaint, wearing ridiculous t-shirts, cheering, jeering, waving wild signs - but you already know that, because when you log onto a video chat you've got your own entrance music and a Rey Mysterio Mask. Booyaka booyaka! If it must be loud, if it must be proud, it must be Monday Night RAW. Now, USA wants you to showcase that same epic fan enthusiasm by recreating some of the iconic, outrageous, over-the-top RAW moments at home, IRL, with a funny and original short :15 or :20 video.

We're not talking about wrestling moves. Leave the RKO to Randy. Maybe you wake up in the morning in the style of Aleister Black. Or say “What?” in the middle of an everyday conversation. Or knock over a glass and imagine your dogs suddenly jeering "You suck! You suck!" Whatever it is, we want you to pay homage to the superstars and the highlights you love, from the current roster or the RAW legacy heroes you grew up with. Sure, you can do something over the top and outrageous - but you could also keep things simple and relatable.

Maybe you do your makeup like Asuka in your bathroom. Whatever you choose to recreate, do it at home, in ordinary (ish) circumstances, however you want.

Masks, props, strobe lights, DIY Kairi Sane cosplay - they're all cool. As long as your tribute is clearly recognizable and thoroughly entertaining, we're on board. Also, you should include a clean :03 shot at the end of your video where USA can easily overlay graphics and a call to action. By clean, we mean that there shouldn't be a lot of action or a busy visuals.

Also, check out this blog post for some tips and tricks on how to best film yourself at home.

DELIVERABLES:

  • One :15 or :20 video (16x9). Action should be framed so your video can be cropped for a 1x1 aspect ratio.
  • If you prefer not to have your video cropped, you may deliver a second version in the revisions phase specifically designed for 1x1.

EXPOSURE: Social media

TONE: Entertaining, hilarious, exciting, outrageous, unfiltered, rebellious, and wild.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Your video CANNOT show any visible third-party logos, or merchandise from other IP or franchises, including trademarked or copyrighted materials like toys, books, posters, games, clothing, and shoes. The most frequent issue we see is logos on clothing or logos on technology (like laptops, TVs, etc.) in the background, so check for that.
  • Your video CANNOT use any music or sound effects from WWE RAW. This is DIY. You must use one of Tongal's three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge. To learn more about using each of these music providers, check out the Project Requirements section.
  • Consider paying tribute to current roster of WWE RAW Superstars OR the RAW legendary stars from previous years.
  • You CANNOT use any photos or likenesses of WWE superstars in your video.
  • DON'T include any WWE graphics, footage, or on-screen text. If it's necessary, we'll include it.
  • Safety is a top priority. Avoid showing people reenacting wrestling moves or trying to wrestle themselves.
  • DON'T include any expletives, and AVOID graphically violent or sexual images, and overtly political subject matter. If you have a question about something the blurs the lines, ask in the forum.

NOTE: Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We’re working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and our advice here is to make sure your submission is executable while also ensuring everyone's safety.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your submission:

  • VIDEO (REQUIRED): Submit a video in 16x9 that is exactly :15 or :20 in length.

The 5 most compelling videos will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive a $1,000 payment for their video.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once individual Videos are submitted, filmmakers will enter Revisions. During this phase, filmmakers may be asked to perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Universal Production Music and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the providers’ names above.

If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment.

In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit Video creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their Videos, as well as a photograph/headshot OR copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases. You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec to claim your earnings.
