A nurse straps a wild eyed young woman with short dark hair into a chair and places electrodes on the side of her temple. A doctor inspects his clipboard. The top of his file reads “Mary Alice Brandon”. He signs the date: 1920. Through flashbacks during Alice’s electroshock therapy, her past (her childhood premonitions, her mother’s death, and the danger of her own murder) is revealed… and then wiped away. Her memory becomes a blank slate. Alice smiles serenely. The nurse nods to the doctor.
