Moments away from receiving electroshock therapy, Alice makes a desperate escape out the asylum she’s held captive, injuring an inmate and causing the accidental death of a guard in the melee that ensues. Alice is horrified at the cost of her actions, but soon we realize, this is just a vision. The events we watched unfold haven’t happened yet. Alice must decide to proceed with the therapy, or save herself, knowing she must live with the consequences her escape will bring.
