Aro, is one beat from being a soulless monster. The love for his sister, Didyme, is the only thing tethering him to his humanity. Its 459 AD & Aro is at the brink of gaining total control over the vampire world when he learns that his 2nd in command, Marcus, is planning to run away with his sister, Didyme. Aro needs Marcus to help solidify his place as ruler of the vampire world so he lures his sister to her death which stops Marcus from leaving but costs Aro the last piece of humanity he has.
