Create an engaging video for T-Mobile that leverages existing employee interview to spotlight Black History Month and showcase T-Mobile's inclusive workplace culture and fun team spirit.
T-Mobile's Careers team is constantly redefining the norm and steering clear of anything too boring, and at their workplaces, employees are a particularly vibrant representation of that. T-Mobile wants to find the best way to showcase those employees and their colorful personalities, and they've been doing it with some engaging vertical social videos. Career Talk is a playful video series where T-Mobile's Careers team interviews different T-Mobile employees to give prospective job hunters a chance to see the diverse, influential, and fun individuals who work within the company, while revealing a little bit about the company culture, and showing off how great it is to work at T-Mobile. With February looming around the corner, T-Mobile wants to produce a new video for the series to highlight Black History Month, and that's what this project is all about.
For this project, you'll use some existing remote footage of an employee interview, and you'll need to create one up to :90 video (9x16) that is quick, punchy, and fun. The footage will be shared during pre-production, and we will need to find a clever way to edit it all together and make sure the sound remains consistent between different cuts. Here is an example of how we have seen remote videos be edited together in a cohesive way that feels fitting for social. However, you should be sure to incorporate your style and spin to make this video worth watching.
The T-Mobile team creates several of these videos all year long, and if they like your style, you could potentially be chosen to make more videos in the future which may include making versions for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Remember T-Mobile thrives on breaking away from the ordinary and is on a mission to capture the vibrant personalities of their employees - so if you are up for the challenge and are interested in potentially opening the door for a long-term collaboration, then make sure to put your best foot forward. The previous Career Talk videos incorporated lots of fun sound effects, emojis, and sometimes even memes so take a look at the Background to see how these videos have been handled in the past and share how you believe you would be able to elevate these videos.
For your pitch submission, we suggest you include a sample video, up to :30 in length, that demonstrates how you might edit together footage and messaging while keeping in mind social platform best practices and T-Mobile branding. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, maybe even a little quirky. We want these videos to feel conversational and, especially since we're featuring employees, authentic and fun. Structurally, we imagine these will be dynamic and full of energy, with a lot of cuts and clever transitions. The color magenta (#E20074) is key too; if you haven't already noticed, it's pervasive throughout T-Mobile content.

In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
