Editors and animators - we've got a quick and easy job for you! Come produce a video based on the recent Street Fighter-style fight dance TikTok trend, and help job hunters know what benefits you can get when working at T-Mobile.
Alright, so we've said it time and time again: T-Mobile is the "Un-carrier" and a pretty awesome place to work. They offer an unparalleled employee experience in many different career paths, and they have a lot of great opportunities for job seekers, but not everyone understands just what T-Mobile has to offer, or what the experience of working at T-Mobile is like. So how do we help them understand? Especially while they're just endlessly scrolling through social media? With a dance fight... obviously!
For this project, the T-Mobile Careers team looking for an editor with mad skills who can take an existing live action vertical :11 clip and have some quick fun with it to create a TikTok video that leverages this TikTok trend that riffs on the classic Street Fighter games, where a couple or pair of people start pretending to fight over their different wants and needs. The Careers team wants to develop their own spin on the trend, where instead of punching, our characters take inspiration from Street Fighter and Ryu's famous "Hadouken" attack, and we see some kind of visual as their responses surge back and forth. T-Mobile will provide messaging copy, but for now, just know that it will include short phrases that communicate some of the benefits of working at T-Mobile.
In terms of execution, this should be a relatively easy ask, but think about the ways that you might utilize text and incorporate fun visual effects to make this video stand out from the other videos following this trend. We do want to make sure these videos feel like they are from T-Mobile so we'd want to keep their branding and font in mind, but these videos should NOT come across as ads. They're meant to be much more relatable and casual content. T-Mobile's got a distinct voice that is vibrant and playful, self-aware and confident, celebratory - but still professional. They're the Un-carrier - cool, clever, maybe even a little quirky. The color magenta (#E20074) is key too; if you haven't already noticed, it's pervasive throughout T-Mobile content, so if you can find a unique way to incorporate it, make sure to provide a visual reference on your treatment.
For your pitch, we'd like to see a :06 proof of concept video with this footage. Check out more information in the Background, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
