Edit a suite of four distinct and engaging videos to showcase SmileDirectClub's partnership with the Nashville Predators Foundations’ “SuperGrant” program and help celebrate the 2021 grant recipients.

Every year, the Nashville Predators Foundation and SmileDirectClub partner to award SuperGrants to small non-profits throughout Middle Tennessee that provide vital resources to people undergoing major life transitions. SuperGrants are given to organizations that help support people and communities through programs like youth mentorships, career preparation, service-animal training, and support for people experiencing homelessness. For 2021 they've awarded SuperGrants to four non-profits, and SmileDirectClub wants one editor to use existing footage to create engaging and empowering videos about these programs for its social media platforms. There will be one video to go along with each winner’s story.

The goal of this project is to help people learn more about the good that SmileDirectClub does. Each video should showcase the business as their main focus, while being sure to highlight how SmileDirectClub makes this happen by partnering with the Nashville Predators Foundation to give out $250,000 per year in SuperGrants. Using provided footage, VO, and on-screen text are all tools you can use to bring this video to life. No matter what you choose, the integrity of the business, the positive effect it has on its community, and SmileDirectClub's influence should all be on full display.

For your pitch submission, we've included a folder of assets for you to create a :30 sample video to show the Sponsor how you'd approach these edits. You can download all the assets you have to work with here. Please note, the footage is for Maple Built only. Due to SmileDirectClub's promotional timeline, Maple Built's video will be due before the other three videos.  For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

  • Please be sure to avoid any visible third party branding or logos, specifically anything with the NHL.

Here are the four 2021 SuperGrant recipients...

  • Maple Built is a woodworking apprenticeship that employs, trains, and mentors young men in Nashville in an attempt to help disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline that has burdened their neighborhood for years.
  • Monroe Harding is the only agency in Middle Tennessee providing a comprehensive continuum of services for current and former foster youth from their birth to age 26, as well as serving other vulnerable young adults in their community. This grant supports "Works Wonders", which empower young adults to participate in work-related learning experiences; mock job interviews, visits to business/industry sites, job shadowing opportunities, and interviews with people employed in fields-of-interest to them.
  • Retrieving Independence breeds, trains and places service dogs with people who are living with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. The dogs are trained by inmates in the Tennessee Department of Corrections, which helps give them purpose and dignity.
  • Home Street Home is a Nashville-based nonprofit. Home Street Home Ministries supports and uplifts those who are trapped in the grips of homelessness and other vulnerable living conditions, regardless of age, race, gender, nationality or religious beliefs or affiliations. This SuperGrant will help fund Home Street Home's first transitional home, where they can support these people in finding jobs and, eventually, homes of their own.

Each nonprofit will have a blog written about them, and your video will have a corresponding presence on SmileDirectClub's social platforms to help promote them.
