In 4th grade I didn't understand what the words in this song meant,so as kids will often do,I took it literally and in my innocent way tried to discover the meaning on my own.I took a box of sugar into the backyard and slowly poured it over my head.My mother saw me through the kitchen window and came running out asking me what i was doing with all her baking sugar.I thought this is what they must mean by "Parents don't get rock music".I still didnt get why you'd ask someone to pour sugar on you.
