Most neighborhoods do christmas lights but not like Pecan Grove. every resident is encouraged to participate or risk dirty looks for no lights. It's even in the HOA rules! there are prizes, defeat, traffic jams, hay rides, drama, long standing adversaries. It's the human condition rolled up into the holiday season. It's hilarious how serious everyone takes it. like it's a matter of life and death. But it's not. it's a matter of lights and death.
