Pitch a short social video, based on one of four provided concepts, designed to get viewers to download GSN’s free and addictively fun Solitaire TriPeaks game on Android and iOS.

From its unique spin on the classic card game to its breezy tropical atmosphere, Solitaire TriPeaks is the perfect break-time activity.

We all know video game ads can be pretty formulaic. They usually feature gameplay with some graphics and effects added in. Solitaire TriPeaks wants to break that mold and stand out in the crowded field of video game apps and increase downloads. To help you get a headstart on breaking through, GSN Games has chosen four concepts submitted by the Tongal community for you to base your pitch on.

DELIVERABLES: Three (3) filmmakers will be selected to each provide three (3) Videos: A single Video suite in 3 formats, each under 30 seconds.

  • One (1) Horizontal 1920x1080 video (16:9)
  • One (1) Vertical 1080x1920 video (9:16)
  • One (1) Square 1080x1080 video (1:1)

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets tab.

EXPOSURE: Videos based on these concepts will appear on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and game apps.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Women 30+

TONE:  Exciting, fun, engaging, energetic, bright, and unique.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Video Pitch must be based on one of the following four concepts. They can be taken literally or customized for greater effect.
    • The Game Prep Ritual: Montage of different people in different rooms of the same house prepping for the game & getting into the Tiki spirit, for example; putting a straw hut in the man cave, pressing the Hawaiian shirt, arranging one's tiki doll collection, etc. The Game time reveal towards the end: they all sit down together with their respective devices & begin playing together.
    • One Tri and Hooked: A Mom is using her phone while she waits for dinner to finish cooking. As the kitchen catches fire behind her, she celebrates a big win in solitaire to reveal she has been playing Tripeaks! "You can almost feel the fire from the Tiki Torches" Her kids put out the fire behind her!
    • Adventure Awaits: A woman relaxing in a tropical location, like at the beach on her own island adventure. The screen shakes as the woman is jerked back to reality by her boss, a microwave alarm, or a subway jolt revealing she has been playing Tripeaks the whole time!
    • Hubba Hubba Solitaire: A woman and her husband are sitting side by side in armchairs at home. The overweight husband watches TV in a non-descript sports jersey gesticulating and complaining at the TV. The wife sighs, raises her ipad, and the TV and his voice fade out. Breezy luau music begins playing. Close up on her face showing contentment. Pan out to reveal two hunky men fanning her and feeding her grapes. Her husband is nowhere to be seen.
  • Video must be designed around getting viewers to download the app
  • Adhere to Facebook and Instagram best practices which can be found here.

In order to be considered for this project you must include the below materials in your Pitch submission. For examples of effective Pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a Treatment template, which you can find here.

  • SCRIPT (OPTIONAL): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • STORYBOARDS (OPTIONAL):  Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across. You can download the Tongal storyboard template here.

  • HEADSHOTS/CASTING BOARDS (OPTIONAL): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • Pitch Video (OPTIONAL): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatic, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive payments to help create the Video(s). Please note the payment of the Pitch award is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets tab.
