Tongal is looking to add even more Instagram-savvy creators to the @Tongalteam Social Crew to help brainstorm and produce engaging content for Tongal’s Instagram channel on an ongoing basis.
The goal of this project is to identify up to 3 Tongal community members to join our elite @Tongalteam Social Crew and create engaging, fun, and original social content for Tongal’s Instagram channel that other creators will LOVE.
If you've noticed the #TongalSocialCrew hashtag on our posts, you've already enjoyed some of the wild, hilarious, and educational content that our Crew members have been creating for the better part of 2020. Now it’s time for another class to rise up and take over the world (or at least, our Instagram channel).
Ideal Social Crew members will be Instagram-fluent and possess video, animation, photo, and/or design skills, while also bringing their unique talents and personality to the channel. Jump down to Background/Additional Details for more creative direction.
Your focus will be on creating great content, but Tongal is also committed to promoting the creator behind each post. For this reason, every post you create will be credited back to you, making this a great opportunity to grow your own Instagram following while building out a social marketing portfolio.
HOW WILL IT WORK?
By joining Tongal’s Social Crew, you’re signing up to create content for Tongal’s Instagram channel on an ongoing basis over the next 3 months (mid-December 2020 through late-March 2021). Selected creators will have direct access to bounce new ideas off our internal team, from stand-alone posts or series to Instagram Stories, and we're excited to see where you want to take things. Additionally, Tongal may have an idea for a post or series which we put out to the Crew to see who is willing and able to execute on the idea.
DELIVERABLES: 24 total stand-alone Instagram posts adhering to one of the following formats:
TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

Submissions MUST adhere to Instagram specs as outlined in Background/Additional Details
Submissions MUST adhere to Tongal Brand Guidelines, which will be supplied to crew members
Selected creators MUST share a minimum of two of their original Social Assets per month with followers on their own Instagram channel(s), while tagging @TongalTeam (posted natively or pushed to their Instagram Stories from the @TongalTeam channel)
The @TongalTeam Social Crew is an initiative designed to showcase the work of our global creative community, while making cool sh*t for the Tongal Instagram channel. The goal here is to feature content “by creators, for creators,”, so potential Crew members should consider the kind of posts they’d most like to see on the channel - and how their skillset can contribute to the conversation - when pitching.
In addition to stand-alone content, you are also encouraged to consider serialized or recurring content frameworks when pitching. We are completely open to seeing what you can uniquely bring to the table, but here are some references to get your wheels turning:

PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with Tongal and show us what you're capable of. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.
Three greenlit creators will be selected to join the @TongalTeam Social Crew and each earn $250 to be part of the program for 3 months. Additionally, each creator in the Social Crew will earn $200 per month to create 8 pieces of Instagram content. Should your pitch be selected, you must complete the Winner’s Affidavit and IP Assignment forms in order to receive payment. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
