SeaWheeze Full Length Recovery Workout Editing Project
Pitch
07/10/20 - 07/14/20
Video
07/17/20 - 07/31/20

Package a suite of workouts for Instagram and YouTube, led by lululemon ambassadors to help runners prepare for and recover from the virtual SeaWheeze half marathon.

We're looking to pair two editors with lululemon ambassadors to create one suite each of prep/recovery workouts for guests running the virtual SeaWheeze 10K/half marathon. Each editor will be paired with one ambassador who will shoot their 20-40 minute workout at home and deliver raw files to the editor to package into long and short-form content for Instagram and YouTube.

DELIVERABLES:

  • INSTAGRAM
    • One 9x16 IGTV video – full-length workout
      • 4x5-safe baked-in subtitles (from .SRT files)
    • One 9x16 Instagram Story: 3 slides, each :06–:10 seconds
      • Slide 1: Ambassador introduction
      • Slide 2: "Trailer" of the workout, tips from the ambassador, or a fun blooper/catchphrase moment
      • Slide 3: Swipe Up CTA
    • One 4x5 Instagram In-Feed asset for the ambassador to post on their feed

  • YOUTUBE
    • One 16x9 YouTube video – full-length workout
      • Same as IGTV but formatted for YouTube
    • Two 16x9 YouTube thumbnail options
    • Two 16x9 YouTube endcard options
    • English .SRT files

TIMELINE: This project has an expedited timeline. For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:

TARGET AUDIENCE: Guests of the virtual SeaWheeze 10K/half-marathon, lululemon guests in general, and anyone searching for at-home workout content.

TONE: Fun, uplifting, inspiring

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • In your Pitch, address how you will elevate UGC footage to create beautiful, cohesive videos. Please include any relevant links.
  • Your Pitch should walk through how you'd create both short-form social content and longer-form workout content that feels organic to the vertical and lululemon's social channels.  Please include any relevant links.
  • Instagram Story master files will need to be delivered as individual slides, not a strung-together video file.
  • lululemon will provide graphics to use in your videos and a template for your YouTube endcard.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a pitch. Though most projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit pitch, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any pitches via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

SeaWheeze isn’t your average half marathon. In fact, it may just be the most breathtakingly beautiful and ridiculously fun half marathon in the world. Usually, 10,000 runners descend on Vancouver to sweat it out over a weekend of yoga, running, and of course, one hell of an awesome party. This year, the race (and party) is going Virtual and adding a 10K race length as well. Prepare to harness your powers of positivity, physicality, and mindfulness, all while taking in next-level natural beauty. Crush some goals (and maybe a few brews) and get swept away in a weekend of fun you’ll never forget.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute these videos.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • TREATMENT (OPTIONAL): A detailed description of how you will approach these videos in the edit, making them visually interesting and digestible on social, and breaking down your approach for each platform. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The two most compelling pitches will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit editors will enter the Revisions Phase. Editors will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

MUSIC: Tongal has partnered with two premiere music providers: Jingle Punks and  Universal Production Music, either of which can be used to source music for your video submission to this project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into submissions to this project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the providers’ names above.

If you choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from third-party catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with your license purchase receipt when you turn in your video paperwork.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment. You are responsible for the costs associated the hard drive and shipping.
