To make best comedic use of this premise, we will make the friend the focus of the commercial. He's a buffoon who fancies himself a spy movie-type character, but really he's just a guy sitting in the back of a minivan with a laptop. He feeds the interviewee terrible advice and then tries to bail her out by "hacking into the company's mainframe" only to (of course) fail and leave the woman in an embarrassing situation.
