Produce a fun, social-first live-action video for Lowe’s using light VFX and the "emoji-plucking" social trend to highlight their new Pink-O-Ween LiveTrends Collection of adorable Halloween vases.
*Owing to product availability considerations, you must be able to receive product at an address in the U.S. or Canada.*
Halloween decor isn't just about traditional orange and black anymore! Lowe's is embracing the popular "Pink-O-Ween" trend with the release of their exclusive Pink-O-Ween LiveTrends Collection, a line of spooky-cute succulent planters made for modern Halloween decor lovers. To build excitement and showcase these unique products on social media, Lowe’s is looking to produce a fun, trend-driven video that feels native to socials and gets folks excited for Halloween!
The goal of this project is to produce a single live action social video that promotes their Pink-O-Ween LiveTrends Collection in a clever and engaging way, utilizing some light visual effect work to tap into the "emoji-plucking" social trend within a fall setting. Creatively, the video must open with the hook: "If your Halloween aesthetic is more pink than pumpkin...these were made for you." From there, we're looking for a strong but clean execution, where the talent will "pluck" on-screen emojis from somewhere on the screen and then transport/transform them via visual effects into each of the real Pink-O-Ween succulent planters. You can see the exact emoji-to-product breakdown that must be featured in the Background.
The live action component can be pretty simple, and you can film with either a camera, an iPhone, or some other smartphone, but you will still need some talent to appear on screen, since we'll need someone to interact with the emojis, and you'll also want to be intentional about the location and the wardrobe that you're using. There's no real need to film at a Lowe's store, as that would complicate this more than necessary, so think about some kind of setting that feels authentic to the consumer or the theme without distracting from the action. For wardrobe, a full Halloween costume would be a distraction, so unless there's a particularly compelling way for you to do that, you're probably better off thinking about a relatable everyday outfit, with lightly themed accents.
FOR YOUR PITCH: As this project relies heavily on a seamless execution, your pitch should clearly detail your experience with light post-production VFX or animation, and it should address your proposed filming aesthetic, your talent, and how you'll actually execute the emoji transformations cleanly.
