Submit big, fun, and out-of-the-box ideas to help PayPal celebrate PayPal Fest 2022 in Mexico with everything from in-person experiences to creative collabs or retail partnerships - this is blue sky thinking at its best. 

Every year, on the anniversary of its launch in Mexico, PayPal holds a massive five-day shopping event known as PayPal Fest, with online sales, deals, and promotions across various retailers. This year will mark PayPal's 12th year in Mexico, and for PayPal Fest 2022, all shoppers will now be able to use PayPal's installment feature - which allows them to break their payments up into smaller amounts that can be paid over time - for all purchases, regardless of their bank or credit card. Installments can help make it easier to make the purchases you really need - especially for our target audience of university students, who are just starting out in life. To help celebrate PayPal Fest this year - and get the word out that shoppers can pay with installments now - PayPal is looking for BIG, fun & totally out-of-the-box ideas that will catch people's attention, get them in the celebratory spirit, and let them know that their first major purchases can be possible with PayPal. 

When we say BIG, we mean it. PayPal is open to everything from in-person experiences, to brand or retailer partnerships, to influencer or artist collabs, to limited edition NFTs, or even something entirely different that you can dream up. We're NOT looking for individual videos or ads here - this should be attention-grabbing, PR-worthy stuff. Be clever, be  insightful, be unexpected, or maybe tap into a trend that's perfect for this. The only guardrails we'll put in place are that ideas should not promote excessive spending, and ideas should be achievable in the approximately three month window between now and PayPal Fest 2022. 

The other thing to keep in mind is our target audience in Mexico. University students and recent grads often experience a lot of life's firsts in a short period of time - like moving into your first apartment, going to your first job interview, being in your first real relationship, etc. PayPal understands this, and that's why they've built their campaign for installments around life's various firsts, and how PayPal can make the purchases behind those firsts possible. As you think about your big ideas, think about what will resonate with and make the most impact among our target audience of university students and recent grads in Mexico. How can your big idea appeal to that unique period of life? Can it? Does it need to? We don't know - we're asking you. Tell us what you think would make the biggest impact to get university students & recent grads excited about PayPal Fest - and with that the sky is the limit!

TARGET AUDIENCE: Digital Natives; University students & recent graduates (ages 18-25) in Mexico

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your submission. 

• BIG IDEA (REQUIRED): Tell us your big idea using up to 250 characters, but AVOID individual video ideas. As always, your creativity and big ideas should be clever and engaging.
  
  
• HELPFUL REFERENCE LINKS (Optional): Have you seen something else out there that you think makes for a helpful reference? Or a a link that helps illustrate the idea you're submitting? Feel free to include a link to any existing content that'll be useful when trying to understand your big idea.

The five most compelling idea submissions will be selected and receive $300 each. Five additional idea submissions will be selected for Honorable Mention and will receive $50 each. Submissions selected for Honorable Mention will not be used by the client, and not all submissions identified as Finalists will receive an Honorable Mention.

Should your idea be selected, you must complete the Winner Affidavit and IP Assignment forms in order to receive payment. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification when a selection has been announced. To ensure that you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven't unsubscribed.

1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
   
   
2. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.
   
   
3. BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.
   
   
4. You may not contact any employees or members of the Sponsor’s organization, their affiliates, or any of their partners. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification of your entry in the project.
   
   
5. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.
   
   
6. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.
    
7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.
    
8. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.
    
9. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.
   
   
10. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.
    
    
11. Creators of selected submissions must provide the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment.
