Edit together a suite of social videos - using existing video footage - to promote the new Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra smartphones, and how they are easily affordable using PayPal Credit in the UK.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra are among the latest & greatest in the world of smartphones in the United Kingdom, so it's no doubt that many people may be looking to upgrade, whether they're current Samsung owners or not. PayPal Credit is helping to making that upgrade easier, offering customers the chance to spread their payments on a new Samsung Galaxy S21 or S21 Ultra over 36 months, with 0% interest.

To help share the good news, PayPal is looking to create a suite of social videos - utilizing existing video assets - to promote the offer, and encourage consumers to use PayPal Credit when looking to upgrade their smartphones. There will be two sets of assets; one set featuring the Samsung  S21 Ultra, and another featuring the S21 Standard. Videos featuring the S21 Ultra will be aimed at PayPal users who are current Samsung device owners. Videos featuring the S21 Standard will be aimed at PayPal users who do not currently own a Samsung device. All assets should show off a key feature of the S21 Ultra and S21 Standard visually, before highlighting the offer available through PayPal Credit.

For the purposes of the pitch phase, we're asking that you put together a :15 proof of concept video (1x1) video illustrating your creative approach. You can find the existing video footage, fonts & logos for your use HERE. Music will also be key here - please select a track from one of Tongal's three partner music libraries for use in your proof of concept video that shows the energy & tone you are aiming for. We're expecting very light branding of PayPal & Samsung at the front, bracketed by PayPal messaging in the final third.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

OPEN BID:

  • This is an open bid project, so you will get to set your own budget up to $6,000. The Sponsor is interested in seeing tiered pricing options, so please feel free to submit various versions of your pitch at budget, target, and reach price points within that price range.
  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this video.

  • PROOF OF CONCEPT VIDEO (REQUIRED): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Please put together a 0:15 proof of concept video (in 1x1) that gives a sense of what will be happening in your full video.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • BID (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall budget proposal. You only need to submit a bid for this project, not a full budget proposal. The Sponsor would like each producer to create the full suite of videos with a cost of up to $6,000 total.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.
