Orthodontics Franchise Live Action TrueView Video Project
Pitch
01/06/22 - 01/31/22

Create a :30 TrueView video for docbraces, a team of orthodontic specialists who are exclusively focused on building confidence - one beautiful smile at a time. docbraces Orthodontists are THE smile experts, with Orthodontic clinics across Canada.

The goal of this project is to create a :30 TrueView video that introduces viewers to the docbraces brand beyond being "just another orthodontic office," shows how they instill confidence in their patients from the very first visit, and then ends with a call-to-action driving viewers to schedule a free consultation today.

The primary goal is to build brand recall for docbraces clinics nationally, while also prompting immediate response to get viewers to schedule a free consultation. This can be accomplished by spotlighting how docbraces is focused on being set apart from other dental and Orthodontic offices. First and foremost, you’ll recognize docbraces for their expertise, wrapped in a spirited and caring experience. They're focused on delivering a “TWO THUMBS UP” patient experience that boasts welcoming faces, a place you're happy to visit/return to, and incredible consideration for patient care and superior treatment outcomes.

docbraces is looking for live action executions that fit their voice. You won't be able to film at docbraces locations, but docbraces is primarily looking for approaches that don't necessarily rely on being in an Orthodontic office to showcase who they are and the confidence that they deliver to each patient using braces and Invisalign treatments. docbraces is looking for a diverse cast, and they are open to hints of respectful humor as long as it fits the desired tone.

The ideal execution should include a clear depiction of the docbraces brand promise: “experteeth”, spirited care, and confidence.

Experteeth - alluding to the expertise, knowledge, advice, and progressive care of the team. docbraces is a Network of Orthodontic experts who learn and grow from one-another.

Spirited Care - the soul and heart behind the team and the office. High energy, encouraging and outgoing, modern and positive.

Confidence - full of trust. The confidence patients have in the team and their doctors. And the confidence that patients feel after completing Orthodontic treatment with a docbraces office.

DELIVERABLES: Four total deliverables:

  • One :30 video (16x9)
  • Three alternate :30 versions (16x9). Alternate variations will involve the same characters, locations, and script, and will mostly involve small changes that can be handled in post-production, including changes to CTAs, end-card designs, on-screen text copy, and other minor edits. Additionally, depending on where the creative lands, a version may include a slight variation to the script. This will be decided between the selected producer and client during scripting.

TIMELINE: Please find the anticipated timeline HERE, but note that if you are selected, you should consult with your Tongal producer to ensure you are always working off of the most up to date timeline.

EXPOSURE:  YouTube. For YouTube TrueView for action best practices please click here.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Young adults, and mothers of children aged 11-25.
  • Those who want a better smile but may be intimidated by the process of traditional braces.
  • People who want a friendly and fun source for their oral care.

TONE: Fun, lively, approachable, confident, caring - and full of big smiles!

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Please do NOT use other dental/orthodontic practices for comparative purposes.
  • Your videos must conclude with the following CTA: "Schedule a free consultation today!"
  • Do not use terms such as, "state of the art treatment/technology."
  • Live Action and animated videos must feature diverse talent and characters.
  • docbraces is a North American company and as such, your location and sets should reflect that fact.
  • A complete layout of docbrace's brand guidelines can be found here.

Shooting live action or stop motion? Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. We're working hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time, and you should ensure your submission is executable within the anticipated timeline and budget, while also ensuring everyone's safety.

MORE ABOUT DOCBRACES:

docbraces believes that you shouldn’t trust just anyone to give you a beautiful smile. All of their doctors in all of their clinics are fully licensed Orthodontists, which means they are specialists in their field and receive an extra three years of education and training past general dentists. They are committed to providing their patients with expertise in all orthodontic treatment methodologies, ensuring the best possible treatment outcomes. It's also important to note, their Senior Doctor Leaders are held in the highest regard within Canada, and internationally, as thought leaders in the specialty. They currently have locations that span from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island, across dozens of cities and towns along the way. Despite the size of their network of clinics, docbraces prides itself on taking a community-based approach and feel, rather than a corporate one.

They create beautiful smiles using braces and Invisalign and they sell confidence along with the positive outcomes that come with a smile that their patients can be proud to share. Their mission is to provide their patients a better quality of life, as well as gorgeous smiles, and to see their confidence improve from the very first visit. They believe everyone should have access to a better smile, regardless of financial position, and offer payment plans with 0% interest. Docbraces wants to make each step of the treatment process (or “smile journey”) as smooth and seamless as possible - for that reason, docbraces offers Direct Billing to insurance, so that you only pay the remaining balance. They know that their patients have busy schedules, so patients at a docbraces clinic can often start their treatment on the same day as their initial consultation, instead of scheduling another visit.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • SCRIPT (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Tongal supports inclusivity in all of our productions and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.
